...about Neil Adams being promoted to manager...

Stick that in your pipe Glenn! <grr>

“And yet these nasty, irritating people that try and cause confrontation between myself and a player, between myself and supporters, are just bad people.

“They are people who will never manage a football club, they have little idea of managing a football club and yet they have a voice that reaches our supporters. Me and Huckerby get on very well. I don't have favourites, I don't do favourites. I pick the best team and at the end of the day it is my call.

“It is easy being a manager when you are one of 25,000 sitting in the stand or if you are an ex-player who is now working for the media who will never manage anything better than an under-10 team, thinking he knows best - and you know what I'm talking about, and I will deal with that, trust me. I'm a nice bloke, but not always.”

Hopefully we will play like a team of Lions like the one on our crest instead of 11 clueless monkeys next game.

Things Roeder got right, 1. signed Hoolahan... 2. erm... I'm a bit stuck now...
Let's hope Neil Adams can really shove it down his throat with three points at Fulham!

You beat me to it, I was going to post the same thread!

It's the biggest upside we have to this situation. And If Neil keeps us up he should ring the Rodent and tell him all about how successful he has been as a manager!

FA Youth Cup and Prem Survival certainly wouldn't be a bad CV to start your Career!

I wouldn't waste my time or money on calling Rodent ..... Skyping him would be cheaper but then who would want to look at him ?

Why can we talk about a guy that went through a horrible illness like brain cancer so bitterly but anything against Hughton is tantamount to treason?
Not getting on my high horse just curious, i hope it`s not because he`s Irish?

Glenn Roeder's Irish? <yikes>

I agree, at least Roeder endorsed playing football properly.

Hughton and Roeder, both former Newcastle managers, both former Norwich managers, both 'nice blokes', but only one had to say it about himself!

Although nobody in their right mind would ever put those two in the same category, I think it might be an idea if we give former Newcastle managers a miss for a bit.
I hereby start the 'No to Joe (Kinnear)'campaign...

Still not answering the question, the skin color factor thing surely plays a part in any criticism of Chris , Glenn Roeder was a ****er <sorry Rob> but he was a fighter in life battling an illness that would render most of us housebound victims ,the vitriol towards him endorsed by our own is not pleasant in my opinion .

That is the elephant in the room ,Norwich sack black football manager Hughton now there are none left BOOOOOOOO Norwich.
We can all ignore it but it`s real.

Total bollocks. People are unpleasant about Roeder because he said unpleasant things in the media (such as the comments aimed at Neil Adams - a respected former player of ours). Hughton would never say anything like that and is generally a much more likable bloke.
