Seems the 'silent majority' is outnumbered by the hooligans.

Unfortunately that's still a higher percentage than voted for No to Hull Tigers

This isn't sturdy grounds for a legal challenge to the FA when they say no.

Despite the question being heavily tilted in their favour, they only managed to get a handful more to vote yes, the majority bottled it.

To turn the FA's opinion round, it would need to be a dazzling victory for Allam, one to really grab their attention.

This is rather disappointing for everyone.

Oh, and did I mention it was an unfair question to start with?

    Allam Out.

Realistically, he can say that he has asked the fans and they are for the change.
isnt that a condition that the FA gave?

Considering, as I've posted 3 or 4 times on this thread, that the FA came out and said this ballot will not affect their decision, No.

Only just realised, by their own logic, 83% voted for the Allams to go.

So they'll be gone in less than 24 hours from now then.

Well done for this. Your post tells more of the true picture than the Allams loaded, non-secret, gun-to-passholders heads 'ballot'. Shame on the BBC for not reporting it fully.

No, to be honest, I think you're wrong. Well, theoretically you're correct that non votes can't be counted, but in the purpose of this poll we all know full well that all of us who didn't want it to go through made sure we voted no.

What this confirms is that there is a silent majority but they just don't really give a ****, hence why they're the silent majority and not the yes majority. Unfortunately not giving a **** means they don't care if the name changes or not, it's not support but neither is it opposition and if that counts in anyone's favour it's Allams.

I'm actually shocked by the no vote being so low. I thought it would be far higher. Then again a lot of the anti brigade are not passholders - Stan and Suited to name but 2 of a very large list - but as far as this situation goes passholders are the only ones who matter.

i think the better phrase is "he asked the paying fans and they were mostly in favour , or of no opinion"

which gives him the mandate i suppose - but its not exactly what would be classed as a vote of confidence as that would require a majority of all members rather than a majority of those voting .
I dont see how Allam can take personal satisfaction in the numbers .

flip it the other way though and it doesnt seem to work combining the NO vote with those not voting at all .

The point is that only a tiny minority of passholders voted to change the club's name, despite being told by the Allams that they would pull the plug.
