MA could get some brownie points if he brought CH back.

Great bloke though Chris Hughton is, Norwich have had a bad season. Van Wolswinkel was a big signing for the club and for Chris, and it has been an abject failure.
Sacking Hughton was harsh, but Norwich need another win and he was unlikely to provide it.
I like Norwich as a city and club. I like CH too. I hope they both move on to better things.

Hmm. I'm not a subscriber to the Chris Hughton fan club, I'm afraid. I find him too meek, too timid to be a credible Premier League manager. I think he's probably a top class lower leagues boss, where the ego's aren't so prevalent. Will Nigel Pearson do well in the PL? Doubt it.

Looking at the Norwich forum there are quite a few pleased at his departure and there is a definite sense that they have not been happy with him for some time, the PL is a bearpit for any manager, Pearson has done well to bring Leicester up but it's a massive step for the squad to compete in the PL and I wonder if they will compete well enough, at least Pearson has experience.

Never go back. I'm not sure he was ever going to be the right man here anyway. I thought he did a good job here and was unlucky to lose his job. I always had long term reservations with him, much the same as Pardew. I wouldn't have sacked him when Mike did because I think once you go with someone you should give at least 3 seasons. I think that is a good time to assess as a manager (possibly with a DOF) has had time to get the squad where they want it. Of course things have always been skewed for Hughton (and Pardew subsequently) because they never reall get the chance to get the squad where they want it, because he keeps ****ing selling everyone half decent <laugh>

I'm not sure how Hughton's appointment would go down? Maybe just the fact that Pardew was getting the bullet would be enough for some. For fear of what we could end up with in Mikes sick little world, maybe he is the best of a very bad bunch.

If Pardew was sacked tonight... and CH brought in for ONLY the remaining games.... would he do any better?

Football Managers should never go back, it rarely works out.
Better to have half decent memories of CH here than it being spoilt with a highly probable failed second term under the current working conditions.

Besides, after escaping the clutches of MA once, it would be completely self serving by fans to expect any normal being to be put through that experience again.
CH was lucky to get away when he did.

I guess you're right, CH's problem was that he was too honest.
