Morning all - spring has arrived with a vengeance up here with a blistering 14C outside. It's a bit quiet on here today - has the realisation that our season is 'over' dampened everyone's spirits?
Did yesterday sum up the season in microcosm? We started well and got ahead but yet again failed to play to the full 95 minutes and got pegged back in the last 10. Strangely had we won yesterday we would have had a game in hand which if won would have put us 7th. Reading's win was significant yesterday as they were the only team in the top 6 likely to be caught by anyone - they have some tough games remaining. I find it difficult to make us out - we have some very talented players but we seem to lose concentration and thereby the consistency needed for a real promotion campaign. I remain to be convinced that Beppe is the man to provide that. He needs to find a real team captain and leader.
Morning all - happy belated birthday Yorkie and a very welcome back Lenny. If only Anya had put a bit more boot behind his "pass" into the goal - we may be slightly happier hornets this morning.
Late happy birthday, Yorkie, and welcome back, Leo. I enjoyed the game yesterday...better quality football than some of the recent wins. Typical first day of the cricket season down here, so instead of a day at the Rose Bowl, it's coffee, Sunday paper and watching the drizzle through the window.

Happy belated Birthday Yorkie. Nice to hear from you Leo, I hope it's not a fleeting visit? I fear I have mislead some of you - Today is my last Monday at work for ever . Thanks for the good wishes non the less and I will try and keep Mme in check, but I don't think it will be a problem as she often says it's your time, do what you want (provided of course I do what she wants first...)! If only Anya's goal had gone in and he had not over hit his tap round the goalie. Brilliant bit of not giving up defending too. What puzzles me is why Atwell did not see that it had crossed the line....
Thanks for all bday wishes... I had a meeting with an ex-colleague, in a garden centre of course..... He was revelling in aswering his wife's question "What did yuo do today?" with "Nothing" ... the joys of post rat rave life!
Thanks Scully and to everyone else for your comments - I hope it is not fleeting too. Friday was your last ever Friday, today is your last ever Monday - are we to be treated to a last ever Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday too or is today the end of this road Scully?
Folk at work keep asking what I will do and after listing the things I have been wanting to do I then say "nothing" if I feel like it.
Hi Leo, good to see you back! The end for CH was inevitable after the crowd's reaction on Saturday! I hope we don't appoint Malky, don't get me wrong, he is a Norwich legend, but his style of play at Cardiff was identical to what all fans were complaining about with Hughton - park the bus and hope to sneak a goal on the counter! Lots of people calling for Neil Lennon! God I hope not, he is an odious little man!
Don't worry Dave, NL was guest on MOTD2 last night and said that as much as he would like to manage in the PL, he enjoys the stable environment he has at Celtic (stable probably being another way of saying stress-free as no-one else can challenge for the league).
