Well seeing as not all teams play the same number of balls this is a complete nothing stat. Show us a stat that we play a higher percentage of long balls relative to short balls than others.

Also we have a Gerrard which means we are capable of playing accurate long balls. If you had realised this you might have gotten better value for money with Ole Fernando.

if you are going to manipulate statistics you need to do it well.

I have manipulated nothing but you have raised an interesting point about passes. The number of passes you make per game has declined by 17% from early in the season to now. That's because you've resorted more to the long ball. I don't understand why you are upset about it. It's working for you just don't try dressing it up as anything but the long ball game.

I prefer to think about it as being an adaptable side. If we need to keep the ball then we can. If we need to be direct on the counter we can.

I like to think we have a plan A, B and C.

Big game this weekend of course, but I think if Man City attack us, which they will then we have a chance.

Im actually more worried about the game against Chelsea, as I can see you guys sitting back and being a hard side to break down.

Then again, Im worried every game at the moment. Quite alot rests on every result.

Its nice to have options, we are not a long ball team or a purely tikitaka side. I like to think we play the right bal at the right time. Whatever that is.

Strangely this seems to show that Chelsea play 62 long balls per game, Everton 68 (that one's for you Tobes) and Liverpool a measly 57 per game. Wow what a shock to find that you're completely wrong yet again

all our clubs are fortunate to be challenging for the title, just enjoy the ride even if you blow it (like we probably did v Villa and not getting a striker, no excuses).

Good thing about footie is there is always another game/season to look forward to.

It was great seeing Chelsea top of the pile again, and I really think we will be back on top for longer next season
