Lol, I thought it was just an 'accident', the man now says it will be tough to get into the top 4, lol what happened to all that talk about of how 'overall' we've been very good and shouldn't just look at 1 result.

My God man, I think it's best if Wenger just stops talking from now on, because when he opens his mouth, he annoys me more.

To be honest, I cannot bear to listen to him.... I gave up listening to him a few good years ago, as I could have sworn he was mocking me. Now he can see the writing on the wall, he is a lot more contrite, more so than the Wengerites on here. He knows he has been humbled this season..... Losing heavily to a manager who has shown you no respect must really rankle with him.... I almost feel sorry for the man, his legacy is almost unravelling right in front of him....

Seriously, this team is ****ing incredibly slow, so slow it's painful to watch. There is just no pace at the moment and teams know that and therefore they squeeze the pitch and press us high. We just have ZERO threat going forward in terms of players who actually look to run beyond an opposition defence. We all knew that losing Walcott for the entire season was going to affect us, but with hindsight that single injury was a hammer blow to our season. Walcott is the only player in our team who looks to run in behind and therefore he is different to all the other attacking players. The rest all come to the ball and even someone like Chamberlain, who has pace, also does that. We need at least two highy quality players with some real speed in the summer, new manager or no new manager, that has to be done.

Miss out on top 4 - Wenger must go. Don't win the FA Cup - Wenger must go. He has just a few games to save both his Arsenal career and his legacy. If he leaves at the end of this season having failed to land top 4 he will do so as a failure. Over 1000 games - half good, half bad. Yes he leaves a new stadium & a half decent squad, but his final season will have been a disaster which showed that Wenger had lost it.

Should the unthinkable happen, I believe he will stay. I wouldn't want him to, but I think he'd sign a new contract.

I think Arsene Wenger has already made a decision on his future regardless of whether we finish fourth and win the FA Cup

If he's planning on staying he might have made a mistake with the timing. If we finish 5th and fail to win the cup I don't think it will go down too well if he then announces his new bumper bonus 8m a year contract..

Bumper £8m contract for what? I don't think even the ardent Wenger fan would agree to this. But in a business sense it would make sense to give him another contract, as he has the knack of getting top 4 finishes and all that champions league money.

Well he's on £7m so a £1m jump isn't out of the question being that Wenger is their cash cow.

The new contract has been on offer for a while, I don't think many people thought we could lose form quite so badly

The latest news story on his salary was reported in the Metro, but many more sources on-line has him being paid around the £6m-£7m area. No one knows the exact amount but I'm guessing this would be acceptable to you. Also this doesn't seem unreasonable considering the amount of revenue he constantly brings to the club with his top 4 finishes.

Arsenal are ready to boost Arsene Wenger’s wages to around £8million-a-year as part of discussions over a new contract.
http://metro.co.uk/2013/10/03/arsen...year-as-part-of-new-arsenal-contract-4132585/

Wenger’s current deal at the Emirates Stadium runs out at the end of the season, and the Gunners are desperate to get him tied down to fresh terms before the new year.

The Frenchman currently pockets around £7.5million-a-year and is one of the best paid coaches in the world, but Arsenal are offering him a further pay boost to stay put.

According to reports, Wenger will be given another £500,000-a-year on a new three-year-deal that would take him into a 20th campaign managing the club.

The Arsenal board are also expected to pledge further funds in the transfer window, in a bid to guarantee that the 63-year-old signs up for the future.

Ligue 1 champions PSG are known to hold a long-standing interest in Wenger, and are likely to try and move into negotiations with an approach before the season is finished.

But with Arsenal enjoying a stunning few weeks, it’s hoped that the wave of good feeling around the club could sway Wenger’s decision making and influence him to stay.

Why should Arsenal have a 26 year drought being one of the biggest and wealthiest clubs in the Premiership?
