    Ask a silly question...
Adams obviously knows the club inside out & will be well aware of the relative strengths and weaknesses of the first team. But how much will the players know of him? How much contact is he likely to have had with the first team squad up to now?

I remain very sceptical of Adams.

My gut is telling me it is going to be a disaster.

I have the same feeling over the long term. But just to win a match it may come off. Keeps the fans happyish for the rest of the season which may help. Everyone needs a break at some point though, so maybe this will be his.

Get ready for a backlash from outsiders stating how we have sacked such a lovely guy and a manager doing a 'good job' keeping us out of the bottom 3.

Fortunately for them they haven't had to watch the bile we have these past 18 months.

I might actually watch a Norwich game for the first time in 5 months on Saturday...

I think this rest on the fact that for the last two games we've had an abject style of play with the tactics starting poor and getting worse when they didn't work. It all had a feel of panic about the changes. I think that this move mirrors di Canio's appointment quite strongly people said that was mad but the change got the most out of the players and they drew themselves up. We've got the talent in our squad if this move will bring the best out of them then I'm largely for it.
What should happen though is that if we stay up we should be fooled into thinking Adams would be a gooding term solution.
He might be excellent but it would need a proper review and due diligence before he's appointed proper. We must get swept up in any hype.

Your gut is always telling you it's going to be a disaster ;)

Seriously though, at least there's something unifying about the club now. We've just got to hope the players feel the same!

I'm bracing for this too. No doubt we'll be widely panned for making a knee-jerk, shocking decision, and getting rid of the nicest man in football. I think the board would have rather held on until the end of the season, but the atmosphere on Saturday was downright poisonous at times and I think showed the board that Hughton's presence has gone from having no impact to having a negative one.

Should have been given his marching orders along time ago (Dec/Jan or earlier) Hope Neil can inspire a moire attacking display from City in these final few games and get us a few more goals & wins. Perhaps Hucks or Dion would make a good assistant for him for these final few games.

Have you actually looked at our form and fixtures before commenting? We have lost 6 away on the bounce and have the run in from hell. We were dead under Hughton and had next to no chance of anything at Fulham, a game we must win.

Although I must admit about a month ago I predicted you would go down because you hadn't won in a while and because of the run in.

But you have picked up a few points since then.

I now think Fulham, Cardiff and.... bloody hell that result to West Brom is bad!

Lose to Fulham and you them and Cardiff are down.

You'd have been safe had you won yesterday.

Sunderland, although games in hand, still have to win those games and have to play Chelsea, City, Spurs, Everton and a few teams around them.

They're in trouble - but I must admit I didn't realist how much trouble you were in.

Yesterdays result has put you right back in it.

If nothing else let's go down fighting with 11 players who look like they give a monkeys.
