Is match fixing an issue in the football league? https://uk.news.yahoo.com/seven-footballers-arrested-over-spot-fixing-144631932.html#rMtHsKU
Whilst I don't condone it, I think there is a big difference between match fixing and spot fixing, especially for things like throw-ins at 32 minutes, for example.

Hopefully nothing too serious and GT makes a full recovery. http://www.scunthorpetelegraph.co.u...r-recovering/story-20913387-detail/story.html Reading the WO there is an interview with Deeney which suggests they were a bit complacent about this season and its been a bit of a shock to only be mid-tablr.
Whilst its probably for a good cause our friends up the road are rather embarrassed by this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srhynHPUQHg
Sad to hear about GT but hope he recovers ok. Lets hope the complacency has been knocked out of them and we do a Leicester next year, their disappointment has certainly spurred them on and congratulations to them too. I think there manager is a nice down to earth sensible bloke too.
What a state to get into, selling bits off just to keep going by the looks of things. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26938425
This is what happens when clubs that are fundamentally League One standard try to buy their way into the Championship. They should look at the way Yeovil are run. Okay, Yeovil will not stay in the Championship as long but small businesses will not get thumped in the fallout.
It would seem that the company selling bits off no longer had 50% of the shares at some points. There had been a change of ownership therefore and the FL were not informed. Will there be sanctions then, or will the FL chicken out and ignore their own rules?
Another club where owner and fans are not happy with each other. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26960502

This could be the weekend Luton go up so probably have to hear loads about them... Good job its the FA Cup semis and Liverpool v Man City.
Hopefully on Monday they will go bust again and have 45 points deducted this time.........(or is that wishful thinking?)
http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/apr/11/crystal-palace-cardiff-city-vincent-tan Tan starting to lose the plot it seems - if indeed he ever had it in the first place...
I feel for the Cardiff fans (a bit) but I really want Cardiff relegated this season and next because of Tan.
Well the sun certainly isn't shining on them at the moment, so I guess their tan could disappear soon...
