He's shown himself to be a good striker. Not a world beater but of a good standard and with a selection of qualities other players in our team don't have.

Definitely worth keeping him as an alternate option up top next season.

My transfer targets: Bender, Draxler, Cavani/Falcao/Mandzukic, Di Maria, good CB, and of course, a new manager. That should do it.

He's a sub striker, nothing more. The worst first-choice striker in the top 9.

He's been better than any of Chelsea, spurs or evertons strikers this season.

And my point was to keep him as a second choice striker, so you seem to be agreeing with me.

Lukaku started brightly but then went quiet for ages and then has improved again recently. Still think giroud has been better.

And etoo was **** for most of the season. He has managed a handful of goals but has otherwise not been anything special at all.

Though I could agree with lukaku if the argument was put forward well enough, so I'll take that one. Don't think any of the others come close though.

I'd take Lukaku. Mou doesn't rate him and he seems like he wants to go.

I have to disagree there. I'd take Lukaku over Giroud all day long. Eto is a class finisher and would have buried the one-on-ones that Giroud has cost us points by ****ing up.

I agree that he's not the most clinical guy in the world. But what one on ones recently? The midfield doesn't even create chances anymore. If it were the case of him just missing I'd be pissed. But we don't even make chances anymore because the midfield is too damn slow.

I'd take lukaku at arsenal for sure, but this season both him and giroud have performed to a similar level.

Just thought the notion that giroud is the worst striker in the top 9 is unfair given he has out performed most of them and is on a level with a few others. Obviously he doesn't compare to the very top but I do think he's one of the better strikers in the league.

This would be a great team for next season
    Ches (New GK)
Sagna/New RB (Jenkinson) BFG (New CB) Kos (Verm) Gibbs (Nacho)
    Lars Bender (Arteta/Flamini) Ramsey (Wilshere)
    Ozil (Rozza/Cazorla)
    Theo (Oxo) Top Striker/Lukaku? (Giroud/Sanogo/Campbell) Griezmann (Pod/Cazorla)

Cavani, a bender and di Maria for me would be the ideal additions to this squad. Not easy to get but just about within the realms of possibility.

Di Maria I don't think would happen but Bale seems to be first choice at Madrid so you never know. Griezmann isn't as good as him but he's still top quality and I'm sure Sociedad would be willing to sell if we offer up enough.

Lukaku was injured, that's why he was quiet. And i think today showed he's far far far better than Giroud, it's not fair to even put them in the same comparison.

I'd do everything to re-sign Sagna, i'd sell both LB's and get new ones in who can actually defend, i'd sell Giroud, and controversially, i'd sell Wilshere. With our formation, he's never going to be a regular starter, he's young and english, we could get a lot of money for him, and get in someone who is better now, rather than better long term.

They've both scored approx a goal per two games this season and both similar types of striker. Lukakus pace and ability to step past his man give him the edge over giroud though.

And the fact that he's scored more goals in an inferior side.
