I think that is very harsh. I think West Ham deserve credit for their game plan, they stopped us playing.
I think I was nervous today as I could see we weren't going to dominate and score a hat full. Usually not nervous at all, even when draw or losing as I have confidence in our attackers.
That was hard work. They'll all be like that now. But officially United cannot catch us now, tee hee hee.
I'm even more convinced. Not only have we learnt to win ugly but we fought for the right to play football
Maybe a tad harsh. Apart from the Carroll header against the bar, I thought we were quite good defensively actually. Dealt with pretty much everything they threw at us. think Agger's injury was a blessing in disguise as Sakho was very good for his first game back. When he passes he doesn't look like he should be very good, but his passing accuracy is probably right up there, and a lot of them will be forward as well. Johnson was solid, let Downing in a couple of times but he's been a lot better in recent weeks. Coutinho was anonymous. Suarez & Sturridge were very poor compared to their usual high standards. Sterling was probably the most dangerous when he got the ball in the middle and ran at them. Not a great performance... but I'll take poor performance and 3 points for the next 5 games please
Agree with all that Also, anyone hate us reverting to three CB's with Toure? I know Brod was holding on for the win but I'd prefer an out ball. Obviously, it worked though.
