If poll makers have an option remaining, and the option is relevant, perhaps they might include a Don't Care choice, in future..?

Would have been a Chelsea legend if it wasn't for the Liverpool paddy mafia putting the frighteners on his family, forcing Gerrard to pull out of the transfer he wanted.

Can't stand Liverpool. I dread to think what the media will be like if they did win, they are already ****ing themself silly at the thought of it.

Presumably if you didn't care, you wouldn't answer.

I'm not sure I can stand the idea of all the smug Liverpool fans if they were to win it.

I'll change my answer to Man City, I don't know any Man City fans.

I've never liked Liverpool, and I still think Suarez is a complete tit, but for them to win the league this season would be totally unanticipated and I love a story like that. I'm sure in a couple of years when their fans still haven't shut up about it I'll wish it had never happened though. Just like that famous night in Istanbul is supposedly the greatest comeback ever (obviously it isn't), this title race will be spoken of as the greatest underdog story ever (obviously it isn't).

    Still, Liverpool.

Can't help but enjoy watching Liverpool, and a season where Liverpool vaults from seventh to a title with Everton beating Arsenal out for fourth would be pretty great for the competition as a whole. So, that's my hope.

Yeah, great, can pay off some of your many debts early with that eh?

    What?

    No?

Of course, how silly of me.

I would imagine the board would probably use £500,000 to £750,000 for repaying debts while the remainder would be divided between paying for improvements to Fratton Park and the player budget.

It's been reported that due to our relatively high levels of income, we're paying off debts substantially quicker than expected.

If anyone wants to know, watch last Monday night's Late Kick Off. As far as off-pitch performance is concerned, such as finances, Pompey are doing much better than they expected. On-pitch, much worse. Now they've appointed Andy Awford, who immediately got them winning again. Good to see.

Every domestic trophy that the Russians and Arabs fail to "buy" makes me feel warmer inside about the state of our beloved game.

I don't know if it was for real or an April Fools joke but the thought that that bunch of Scallywags down the road might get £1 000 000 on the back of Liverpool's success just fills me with nausea so I am going for Manchester City.

I suspect that there are others that will claim first dibs on the loot, Balram Chainrai will no doubt be looking for his share? Unless you have access to the small print of course, I don't actually care, but will bow to any superior knowledge.

Was previously Liverpool, but I now want City to win. I think Liverpool are more likely to want to poach our best players (Lovren, Adam), whereas City I don't think would be as interested. Plus City would get them anyway, due to their wages, so its irrelevant.
But if Liverpool finish second, maybe they'll be given more investment for next season and do the same - so who knows, really.

The results of the poll are about what I expected. I wonder, if Arsenal were still in the title race, how many would have voted for them. I probably would have, mainly because they have Walcott and AOC.

Of course the Pompey Trust are going to say they are "doing better than expected financially". It's the underpinning point to having them there in the first place, but like everyone else in football, they will only tell fans what they want to hear. Any "bad news" will be buried, ignored or glossed over.

Possibly not. The agreement was made with one of your (many) previous crooked owners, so it'll presumably be used to settle old unpaid debts before it ever gets to the trust. I doubt you'll see a penny of it. Maybe it'll be used to pay some of the myriad swindled local businesses. Now that really would be a result for the community of Portsmouth.
