After his Carroll article at the start of the season, resulting in him later posting an apology article after Carroll got a hattrick against Villa, I've had no time for this guy. He's clearly another journo who has it in for Newcastle, no idea why they hate us and I couldn't really give a toss. When will they get it in their thick skulls that we don't think we're an English juggernaut, most of us Toon fans are modest and overjoyed by our mid-table return to the Premiership. We aren't expecting Champions League places, nor are we waiting for our next "messiah", for him to even insinuate West Ham is a greater prospect to players than Newcastle however is ludicrous. The whole article was a pointless dig at us using a recent transfer to justify it.

They can't understand the passion we have for our football club so they resort to ridiculing it.

Lol what an idiot. One of the most ironic articles ever written but he will fail to notice this as he is a ****ing idiot. Its ironic because if we werent a big club then why would he write a big section fornthe newspaper debating wether we are a big club. Does this not indicate that still loads of people think we are a big club? ****ing idiot.

Isn't the Daily Biggot still blacklisted at SJP? I'm pretty sure that has a big factor, on their negative bias towards NUFC.

That boss eyed fool's articles have become more skewed, since his relegation from The Times, to the Biggot. Have never rated him anyway.

I can honestly say, hand on heart, that outside of Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea (only recently), Arsenal and maybe Everton (surprisingly) I've seen more Newcastle shirts worn by locals in the US, India, Mexico, Tunisia and all over Europe than any other English club shirt. Obviously not in the same league as "the big four" but it's probably down to the likes of Keegan, Beardsley, Gascoigne, Shearer and Owen etc and they pop up all over the place and I've had many conversations with Indian/American/Eastern European about our club and found myself surprised at how much they know about us!

Samuel is full of ****, I've never noticed ONE West Ham shirt ANYWHERE outside of Europe. That's not me being biased because I'll admit I've saw stacks of other shirts in places you'd least expect to find them, Everton stand out in particular <ok>

I've only seen a West Ham shirt whilst abroad in Majorca a few years ago.

It was wedged under the shop door to keep it open.

The thing is he makes a big deal about West Ham's signing of Nolan as a plus for West Ham and a negative for the Toon. He chooses not to mention that the key statistic in convincing Nolan to make the switch was that the Hammers offered him a five year deal on £55k/week whereas we offered a three year deal for a slightly smaller amount. The extra two years on the contract where obviously the key factor for Nolan but he leaves out that snippet because it enables him to suggest that Nolan had other reasons for making the switch, hence his deluded suggestion that he saw the Hammers as more ambitious or as a bigger club.

Also instead of using this information to belittle the Toon he should be asking why Nolan would agree to drop down a division, where the hell has his ambition gone? Also how incredibly irresponsible is it of West Ham to make such an expensive signing when they already have large debts and will record a massive drop in income following relegation. If they don't bounce straight backup this deal could be a major factor in sealing their financial fate. They should be looking to get rid of big earners not sign new ones.

He obviously had his West Ham glasses on and proved that he is incapable of writing an objective impartial article. Very well qualified to work for the Daily Fail is suppose!

I'd rather be a itty bitty club in the Premier League regularly getting 50k+ on matchdays, signing young players with talent under a strict and fair wage cap and trying to play attractive football that a massive club continually struggling with debt and handing out silly wages to anyone with a name in the Championship.

Hang on lads, are West Ham the new Newcastle? <yikes>

They clearly saw how easy we got back up next season, thought if we sign one of the main players that helped us do that and it's a no brainer.

If this goes wrong then I fear for the future of West Ham.

It would give me great satisfaction to see West Ham go belly up and stay out of the top flight for a while. Lumbered with a massive wage bill, Porn-pushing owners and a stadium they have no hope of filling.

I liked them under Pardew but now they are a complete joke, backed by the media for being in Laaandaaan.
