Everton vs Arsenal: Match Thread.

to be fair, Cazorla and Podolski both have pace, they just don't use it...

 

Liverpool fans across the forum predicting Everton will beat us and get top 4 ahead of us. Comments like "it's everton to lose" all over the place.

Surely this isn't the general consensus from neutral or rival fans?

 

Today it's fosters, iced buns, bread and humous and some American cookie doh candy.

 

Ox and Gnabry must have ****ed Arsene's daughter or something.

 

Oxocube gives the ball away to much and has been at fault against the big teams in the games we have been owned. Pleased he isn't starting.

 

He can come on late in the game and add some pace

 

We need to come out and be quick and strong from the start. Don't let Everton get a foot in the game.

 

Right, by that measure Giroud wouldn't have started even 10 games this season.

 

Verm needs to show his worth with Kosc out.

I want to see a big game from Arteta and Cazorla as well. They are senior members of the squad and need to lead by example.

 

I'm feeling it today, we're gonna win.

 

Giroud giving the ball away up top when trying to hold onto it, with no support, generally being closed down quickly or by two defenders at once, is different from giving the ball away repeatedly in midfield to allow counter attacks.

 

Oh and giroud has had far more than 10 good games lol

 

Anyway I was simply making the observation that oxocube has given the ball away far too much recently and it has been a contributing factor in our recent demolitions. It has been noticeable and I'm pleased to see him dropped for this one.

I wasn't trying to get into another giroud discussion lol

Either of Podolski or Cazorla on the wings doesn't hurt us much, but both? We look completely anemic.

We need a player there who can play a more classic winger role.

 

I see Poldi has just decided to hit and hope today. No complaints here, it's what i've been calling for him to do for a while.

 

If ( and its a big if ) everton win today then they are only a point behind with a game in hand...so they will be in a great position...any other result leaves you firmly in driving seat imo

 

Everton fans proving that when all is said and done, they are still scousers.
