Cellino's attempted takeover of L**ds was originally blocked by the Football League because of tax evasion. This has now been overturned by an independant panel. How would this affect any appeal that Allam says he will take, if as expected the FA throw out his stupid name change? Does it make a difference that this was the Football League and not the FA?
What's his angle? They have no assets as such do they? Surely, he's not going to come in and genuinely try and elevate them? Can't see that. Look forward to learning of his real intentions in the soon.
What's the point of this whole thing about fit & proper if they're going to let people with tax evasion taking over football league clubs?
It sounds like it could still come back due to the peculiarities of Italian law. The verdict was that the courts hadn't yet declared if his tax avoiding was reckless or dishonest. If they declare it as dishonest, he could then be refused.
Correct. This could also take up to a year. The Italian Law is crazy, even though he was found guilty he technically isn't until his appeal has been heard. So if it's overturned he never will have been! I would have thought a man of his stature will make sure he has contingencies in place over the next few months.
They don't own the stadium nor their training ground, their only asset is Ross McCormack - it begs belief, though it pains me to say it, that no-one ''genuine'' has bought Leeds, a club with a large fanbase situated in a hugely wealthy city ...... as an old CI poster once said ''Leeds, it's a rugby town innit ?''
For perfectly valid reasons, I've harboured a deep-rooted hatred of The Vermin for years. However, I've recently decided that I would actually like to see them get their **** together and join us in the top flight, as fellow representatives of Yorkshire/East Pennines. Sorry.
To some extent I agree. Hopes can only be dashed and dreams shattered, where hopes and dreams are present in the first place.
No, No, No, No, No, No, No. This is what would happen:
I agree! Whack the Sheffield teams in there aswell it would be better if there were a few Yorkies in there to be fair. It's too full of north westies and cockneys as it is.
Only time will tell Dutch. It can't be any worse than what we've had to put up with recently. He has the funds, and to be fair to him he has owned Cagliari for the past twenty years, so unlike most foreign owners here, at least he has experience in football.
Cellino has said he will be buying the ground and Training ground this week.Already has a scouting network in Italy so we will probably have a few Italians in the team next season.
Pissed off that Cellino has gone and bought the ****e, did no one tell him Allams planning a 24 hour sale here? He could have had a premier league club.
Because the guilty verdict is under appeal, meaning he's not technically carrying a conviction yet, and other than for the TV Licencing ****s this country practices innocent until proven guilty. Not sure his experience is worth much, he's just sacked the 36th manager in his time at Cagliari. A new manager every 7 months sound good?
