Off Topic Warm Glow- Since 2014- now like Milan- Mackem Free

Haven't been in there for years. Checked Gateshead squad and saw I went to school with one of the players dad.

It keeps opening and closing. Not sure if The Railway is still open.

 

Open under a new Guv'nor, a guy who runs the pub well.

 

Yes, the Railway's still open but not doing much business.

 

It must be nearly 20 years since I was last in The Railway.
Had my Wedding reception at the Coach and Horses and night-time at The Three Tuns.

 

Had some great nights in those two.

 

Pass those on the way to the game and back.

 

Good pubs.

No warm glow for me today, just a bad head and a tinge of anger from having to sit through that half baked attempt at putting effort in yesterday.

Still that table looks ok.

I'm putting my blind faith in the hope that Fat Mike will need to protect his investment by bringing players in during the summer who will maintain our top ten position next season <that's as good as it gets, I guess>

And as bad as we are at the moment, the summer will just have to wait. Meanwhile, the here and now is that the filthy unwashed mackems are up to their necks in the Brown Stuff. They are making records again......their fourth relegation during the Premiership era beckons (this will be a joint record with Palace if the latter stay up).

Had a bit of a head myself since yesterday.

 

Just a few stats to keep the Glow ticking over.......the mackems have picked up just one point from eighteen since they won at our place on Feb 1st. They managed to score only three goals in those six games.....quite how they think they'll start scoring against the Spuds at WHL is another matter. The mackems conceded an average of two goals per game in those six games. I'm sure Tottenham will be desperate to get their faltering Champion's League qualification back on track after losing to Liverpool last week.

As if that isn't a hard enough task, the mackems then play host, next saturday, to Everton who have won their last SIX league games and who are themselves gunning for Champion's League qualification.
