Itâs bad enough having LWB, but now Robbie Savage has us staying up - Cardiff, Sunderland and Norwich going down. Looking at the fixtures, there is hope â which is what kills you. It all counts for nowt unless we beat Norwich. Then its us West Brom & Palace all hoping to survive. No BBC Predictor, but here goes: Crystal Palace 34: Aston Villa (H); Everton (A); West Ham (A); Man City (H); Liverpool (H); Fulham (A) = 37. Not sure they'll be safe before we play them. West Brom 32: Tottenham (H); Man City (A); West Ham (H); Arsenal (A); Sunderland (A); Stoke City (H) = 36? Massive win over Norwich Fulham 27 (with poor Goal Diff): Norwich City (H); Tottenham (A); Hull City (H); Stoke City (A); Crystal Palace (H) =36 with 3 wins Norwich 34: Fulham (A); Liverpool (H); Man Utd (A); Chelsea (A); Arsenal (H) = 34 No further points unless one of the top-4 does a Chelsea ala Palace Sunderland 25: Tottenham (A); Everton (H); Man City (A); Chelsea (A); Cardiff City (H); Man United (A); West Brom (H); Swansea City (H) = 35? Too many games in hand to be certain Cardiff 26: Southampton (A); Stoke City (H); Sunderland (A); Newcastle (A); Chelsea (H). 30?Can't see them surviving. COYW
Next week is massive for us, a must win if we are to manage a second great escape, but Sunderlands next three games are massive for us as well, three very hard games against Spurs Man City and Everton two of which are games in hand , if we beat Norwich and Sunderland only take one or two points from these fixtures then it's on If Sunderland go and beat Spurs and Everton it's big trouble... let's all watch and Hope for Spurs tomorrow night and then get to the Cottage next Saturday make loads of noise and make sure we do our bit I Still believe
The way Arsenal are playing Norwich might fancy something against them - probably their only chance of points in those last 4 games.
Think we have to take each game as it comes! Sidwell said before Villa that we have 6 finals. That's the approach for me. Renewed hope but we have to wait!
Hopefully the players get disillusioned come Saturday. But as you say it could go the other way and give them the lift they need for the rest of the season. I think it's a good thing for us though.
Think this is bad news for us - first game under a caretaker, dead cat bounce and all that. Still, we have to win to give ourselves a realistic chance, so let's get on with it.
I'm not so sure, having the U18s manager take over doesn't really sound like the big change needed. Only time will tell though.
I think managerial changes like this work better in front of home fans; the reaction from their fans is where the potential for a bounce is. However, it really changes nothing for us. It's a huge game for us irrespective of what is happening with the Canaries and we have to treat it as the huge game it is. EDIT: Sadly I can't make the Norwich game due to family commitments, but I've booked Hull tickets instead. COYW!
Agreed, I don't think this gives us any more or any less of a chance - our own experiences this season would back that up.
For the first time in a long time we seem to have some balance in the team, madness is right that one game at a time but if we believe as a club anything is possible. Norwich is huge but the team look excited and up for the battle. The support seemed to urge the team forward as well so hopefully that will continue. Still believe ..... Last week no chance but now ..... Hell yeah
Gera, youve only gone and made think it could be done. It's another cup final. Nothing less than 3 points. However, it will be difficult. Doable but difficult.
What the players have done is rekindled the dying embers of hope that was inside me. Its doing my head in!
I think we could see the first proper reward for Magath's new style. We've been more positive and direct in recent games, less ponderous passing at the back and lumps up field. I'm going to put £5 down on 3-0 to us. I think momentum is with us and there is renewed faith in the players. We'll bloody end up losing 1-0 now I've wrote that.
Silkship, you'll temporarily have the hump when Richardson scores our 4th goal in the 94th minute. Don't worry; you'll get over it
