It does seem to be a sign of the times that the day after games the conversation is always about the dreadful officiating rather than the game itself, far too often games are influenced by sheer incompetence often affecting the outcome of important matches.

Not seen any replays but I thought both were penalties, maybe a touch soft but penalties all the same but the absolute game changer was the silva "offside". At the time Southampton were dominating the game and I was just hoping we could get to half time without going behind.Within a few minutes it was game over and an intriguing game poised for a second half that could've gone either way, ruined by simply pathetic officiating. Southampton were a pale shadow of themselves in the second half as the heart had gone out of them and City ran out comfortable winners.
Don't think the "win the chance to be keeper " competition worked out too well,Boruc was a big miss.
Such a shame for jay Rodriguez, don't know if he would've gone to Brazil but must have been in the reckoning and you could see how distraught his teammates were for him.

3 points is 3 points though but would prefer to earn them rather than have them donated

One of those games when a couple of incidents turned things completely. Big positive is we again showed we can match anyone.

Probably the only criticism is not a lot created considering how dominant you were in the first half

What ever the result, it was always going to be over shadowed by J-Rods injury. Hope its not as bad as we all fear it is.

Yes I'm afraid not for the first time we didnt turn possession into goals. Must be one of the few sides to have dominated possession at your place this season though.

To be fair, we lost 4-1. Bad officiating and comedy goalkeeping aside, we can't have too many complaints about the result. Gutted about Jay's injury, fairly relaxed about getting beat.

I'm too gutted for poor JRod to worry about the result....we all know linesmen (deliberately leave out the female Lino who is the best we have) are next to useless and we all know Gazza is not up to this standard so no surprises!
Just hope JRod gets over his knee issue as quickly as possible for his sake as well as ours
