Good afternoon ladies and gents. New on here but it all looks good so far. One has caught my eye for later on and its NAP 6.50 Kilbeggan About the House 7/1 Was staying on very nicely LTO and looks as if a step up in trip would be ideal
What is this distinguished road nonense? Cyc - how are you mate? When do we get to see Black Caviar again? And when is the Birdsville Cup?
put the cursor over the green square under your achievements and it will tell you that you are on a distinguished road
Yeah I got that bit mate - but what does it mean? I'm a bit new to these new-fangled web-based chat thingies. I don't even have a facebook account (in fact I saw a bloke with a really cool t-shirt the other day - It was black and had printed on it, in big white letters "No I'm not on f*#king facebook")
i don't get it either - i used to be on a distinguished road but now i am an unknown quantity - go figure
Saw a good film last night Nass, you might like it - I'm afraid it's not very highbrow but I laughed and laughed and laughed - Hall Pass with Owen Wilson.
Early September Oddy. They're flogging tickets online, wanna buy a couple? You'll have to practice you drinkin' though.
Tell you what Cyc I would love to go to it just once mate - looks amazing from the online vids. I reckon I would steer clear of Brophy's tent though, souldn't fancy a broken nose.
BPG down to run on Thursday, will see what the handicapper gives him but think he will run, when i know you know stay frosty
I'll let you in on a little secret Oddy. My brother and I went to see Brophy's show at the local when he hit town a couple of years ago. The pub was packed. Everyone was on tender hooks waiting for Fred's drum to strike up, calling in the patrons. The pub emptied in a flash. We all stood in the crowded car park where the first half of the show was the challenge to the punters to have a go against his boys. It took about 45 minutes of banter and the like before all matches were made. Then we all piled into the tent and the show began. We had a wonderful time, so we decided to go back the second night for more of the same. A strange thing happened. There were a whole cast of new fighters up on the platform with Fred, but they looked a bit familiar. Then Fred called on challengers again. Sure enough, people started to accept the offer. But the blokes who emerged from the crowd, were for the most part, Fred's boxers from the night before.
Do they bet on the outcome Cyc? That would be a bit naughty if he were planting fighters. I guess in Birdsville everyone is too pissed to care
Nah mate, just heaps off piss and a good laugh. Most of the fighters were useless. They couldn't beat time with a stick.
Afternoon all I like the look of TREND here at Kempton (2.15) has showed ability in three career starts so far for Michael Bell. He runs for Highclere and I will be surprised if he doesn't end up a lot better than his current mark of 60, now handicapping, upped and trip and fitted with a visor I expect a big run here
Although, one or two matches are made, but Fred is very careful, he can't afford to have anyone seriously hurt. He has the last traveling boxing tent in Australia. He can only work in Queensland. Boxing tents are outlawed in every other state and territory in the country.
