Makes me miserable to think about it. Can tell all the players are gutted for him, but if Gaston can come back from having his ankle bent underneath him in just a couple of weeks then Jay can do anything
Adam Lallana: "Forget the decision for the offside, forget the result – forget everything. We’re absolutely devastated for Jay. We’ve all let Jay know how sorry we are for him, but there’s nothing you can really say in this situation. It’s absolutely gutting for him, but we’ll just pray that the result of his scan is as good as it can be." please log in to view this image
Absolutely, the game today (yesterday now) isn't important when you see one of your players get a serious injury, and especially a player who works so hard, has been in such great form, and was potentially heading to a World Cup. It is gutting, but the players carried on today, and I am sure they will for the rest of the season. I just hope he can somehow get fit for the World Cup. Devastating for him, but also for us. We will miss him hugely.
Rickie, Jack and Jose look gutted in that picture, especially Rickie despite Jay being competition for his space.
VIDEO: Pochettino takes the piss out of offside decision - (at about 1:06) - http://sport.bt.com/video-01363814401986?videoid=3434865167001
It'd be funny if he got fined for this. He'll get in more trouble for complaining about an atrocious decision than the idiot who actually messed up will.
I'd suggest he's done enough to get a fine. Let's see... - He was reminding the linesman after the incident, that he could use the flag in his hand - He went onto the pitch at full-time and was clearly being sarcastic and hostile with the official - He said "the linesman killed the game" live on BT Sport - He said he couldn't analyse anything beyond 45 minutes because the officials basically ended the game for us - He criticised the linesman on BBC radio, again saying that he killed the game - He takes the piss out of the decision in his press conference, saying it was a difficult and "close" decision - He calls it "dumb refereeing" - Compares the standard of officiating to that of a school game Yep, he's in trouble.
Match of the day where pretty kind to us in contrast to the clowns on BT Sport I hear. Even Savage and Kompany. Lallana speaking of Jay mde me sad, and that picture that DTLW posted up. The players clearly devastated for him. Big love in the saints squad.
