From reading Dave's post on a different thread, it would seem that he would rather be associated with you than a lot of us on here.
Structurally we are much more stable now, but McNally wasnt joking when he likened relegation to being worse than death. The stability of a club is linked to how it is performing on the pitch. And the responsibility for keeping that part of the machine running is the managers job. I would argue he has shown he is not capable of doing that, hence to remove him can't cause any negative effect. The players were woeful today. Why worry that they wouldnt be motivated under a interim manager, when they look so gone already under the current one?
Time for another Mcnasty public offering me thinks, stuck the rocket up CH's arse last time got to be worth trying it again to get that one last win
Are you serious? Is what worth the risk? The zero points we will inevitably get under him with our remaining matches. Yes, I think I'd like to twist on those zero points. He should never have made it into 2014. And yet still you'd keep him. We literally couldn't be any more unstable.
I tend to agree. I think with him in charge we will get 0 points. Even 1 point would be an improvement on that.
It wouldn't be a huge risk on the pitch, but you shouldn't underestimate the impact it could have off it. I haven't said I'd keep him forever, just that I'm not sure sacking him now would be worth it.
I think he may of exaggerated slightly! Off the pitch is very important to all clubs and upsetting that can have a terrible impact on the pitch and for a long time. As you say the players were woeful today. So say there was no transfer window, would you get rid of them? Or is it easier to blame everything on the manager? It is true he is the only thing we can change before the end of the season.
How would it damage us off the pitch, Tipsy? I think it would give a boost to the fans and I suspect also to the players. Do you think the rumours of a clause that we have to pay a lot less if we sack him in the bottom three are true?
i would say that we know the players are capable of playing to a higher standard than they currently are, and how shown this under a different manager. Logically its a less disruptive way to hunt out the problem to remove hughton than gut the squad. I'm pretty confident that under our new manager (if we stay up/ keep them) both RVW and Hooper will look much better players.
Well I imagine he would certainly have a wage drop if we were relegated, I think that is quite common place. So I guess that would make the rumours true, depending on when the new wage came into place. It could be a good thing if we stay up, but if we go down it could cause problems. I don't know the ins and outs of the club but changing managers frequently often leads to a lack of stability. People like to know where they stand and if the goal posts keep being moved they don't like it. In terms of business it is similar to the government changing tariffs on renewable energy. Do it too often and the developers worry about investing in the future so go elsewhere. Fortunately at Norwich the board seems relatively stable so maybe changing a manager would not have a huge impact. But you look at many clubs where they seem to sack 3 managers a year and get nowhere, resulting in running up lots of debt.
Real football started in 2009! We are not talking about the ancient forms of a game that vaguely represented a football match.
But it's this ancient form of the Beautiful Game that vaguely represents football that you're playing that has kicked off this meltdown!
He's got to be driven out of Norfolk tonight ! That's the only chance we have is to get him and his ****e negative useless back room team away from the squad and get Adams in for the last five games. It's a win win option he can't do any worse than Hughton & we won't have to listen to his crap every week when he bigs up a team that's just ripped us a new one ! ****s sake DM earn your corn and can this tool tonight.
This shows you don't have a clue. We don't play an "ancient form" of football. We don't play any form of football. The idea that we play hoofball implies there is some sort of coherence or style. We don't have any coherence or style or form. We don't play hoofball, because we don't even have that skillset. If we did, I suspect we'd be in a similar position to West Ham or Palace.
