We'll done Tedburrow. Rocky Creek did indeed finish 5th, I know cos he short headed one of mine for some nice fooking place money! My other one tried to swim the water jump
Stick... my first ever post was to say fair play for a tip you gave My second is to give you a hug, fair play man
thank you....and my pleasure, enjoy your winnings! He is a class act drever, just a matter of whether there was a rogue in the handicap!
Two cracking bumpers to end the day. Anyone have a fancy in either? I'd not be confident but Modus to uphold the Champion bumper at 6/1 seems fair at Aintree. The Chepstow bumper looks almost as good. I'm struggling to settle on a selection.
Posted about the Chepstow one last night Bob. SIDBURY HILL was runner up to Josses Hill, that's top form and the next three home have all won since though it looks like the Hobbs horse is really well fancied. At Aintree, head says Modus heart says Battle Born!
I've left it alone. Chepstow is very hard. The Josses Hill form is obviously very good but that 7lb claim isn't in effect today so I don't think it will win. Sounds bad but glad the Gollings horse just lost. Was told they thought it was a good horse but they didn't expect the win.
Nailed that until it came to picking the winner LOL Note to self; don't back bumpers under a penalty!
I am amazed by this comment, the horse is as game as they come. Yes he has jumping issues but to put that in context today for three quarters of the race AT FISHERS CROSS was running with a loose shoe on his front right fore. Not massively inconvenient for a horse I know but probably enough to put him off and maybe the reason why his jumping went awry again today. Over the first few hurdles he jumped as well as I have ever seen him jump. To see him referred to as a dog is mind boggling!
