So it pretty much all rests on the Fulham game. Win and we're 8 clear of them with 4 to play. Draw and it's going to be tight. But realistically, we're going to lose and be in the championship next season. Urgh.

A serious question amongst all the bickering. Would anything be gained by sacking him now, do you think? Could that perhaps turn it round at Fulham?

So he's not a ****er then, as we thought. What you actually mean is you don't like the way he manages a football team. Well at least say that.

Maybe so, but doesnt make him a ****er. Anyway doesn't matter that much, just a bit silly. I thought of all people you would of enjoyed todays master-class in passing?

It was the mind blowingly stupid substitutions that done it for me today.

The only benefit I can see of sacking him now is that the team will have the fans more on side for the remaining fixtures. So it depends how much of an impact you think that has? Other then that I would say it will make little if any difference. In fact could be quite detrimental.

Good question. Part of me thinks it would. We still have points on the board, so it would be a good idea to bring someone in to get us over the line.

However, Hughton and the squad have consistently managed to get results when we really needed it. Funnily, I never felt like today was quite desperate.

A real dilemma. He has to go at the end of the season though. Even if we go unbeaten for the rest of the season from now.

I am not sure who is to blame for this pathetic performance, but the manager should, at least, offer his resignation. We must definitely rely on the results of other games with both Fulham and Crystal Palace winning. Can't see us surviving unless the Board have something up their sleeve.

We are as good as down now.

For everyone getting stressed and pissed off, just accept it and then you can look at things more clearly.

Chris should go to be honest and the board has been blind to keep him. We have not evolved as a team and the results and playing style have been dreadful this season.

We are down and need a miracle from a team that have had 3 managers this term and are very dysfunctional. Thanks a lot CH and the players, you suck!

I doubt it will happen or make a difference if it even did. But now I am certain that whatever happens, Hughton is not going to be manager for Norwich next season as the rapport between him and some of the fans is broken beyond repair.

Ah, so again you correctly identify his incompetence as a manager being your issue. So he isn't a ****er.

Some were a bit strange, although I did think Wes had a shocker, he gave the ball away at almost every opportunity. Not quite sure why he brings Becchio on, why not RVW?

i worry that thats why the board didnt act sooner. Whenever you talk to people about hughton, they say ' oh hes great i like him'

One things for sure hes not a great manager at the moment, but seemingly no one watches our games (who can blame them?) so have no idea the dross we are currently spewing.

I believe he still hasn't made a substitution that has had an assist or goal affect this season no?
We are going to set a club record for lowest goals scored, despite him spending the most any manager has had to spend here. We are going to have a ridiculously low goal difference tally too.
The players look bored and uninterested today. Surely motivating your players to give a toss is the managers responsibility?
And when you bring on Becchio as your master plan, you truly are out of ideas. The man hasnt had a look in all season, presumably because hughton doesnt rate him, so why oh why turn to him when we must get something, and the guy has next to no match sharpness?
Its that sort of decision making that could easily lead to hughton getting called a ****er by someone who is emotionally invested in this club doing well.

Sunderlands games in hand have really ****ed us over here. They give the illusion of us controlling our own destiny, when in fact we're heavily flirting with relegation, and have for a while.

As soon as Hoolahan went off the whole thing fell apart. As for Becchio, an important game and he brings on someone who has been nowhere all season.

    Ridiculous, totally ridiculous.

The substitutions brought our building momentum to a complete halt. We were bloody awful after that.

I thought the timing of the subs was reprehensible too. Hoolahan was just improving, having had a first half shocker (out of position). It's bizarre because it's like all substitutions are pre-planned.

The Hoolahan thing is tricky as he didn't play well but if you play that formation you need someone in his position. He didn't push Howson on and no one else can play there. So he needs to either keep him or change formation.

I agree it may make no difference, although I'm not sure it would be detrimental.
