Newcastle have been pressing and closing us down throughout the 2nd half. This is perfect prep for the Bayern game. Shame we won't have Mata though.
The only worrying thing is that he's also the one who's scored most of the goals. Would have preferred the likes of Kagawa and Chico scoring all, at least would be a more positive sign for Wednesday.
When was the last game we relied on just crossing??? Since the West Brom game I think, we've been playing through the middle and using the wingers to create space. THANK FCK! Moyes is learning
Newcastle were awful. Saying this will prepare you for Bayern is like saying I'll fight my little sister in preparation to fight Tyson.
My comment was purely about their pressing and closing down which anyone watching the 2nd half can't deny. In that sense it's valid and since it was in a match, against opposition, it's better than doing it on a training ground, so very useful.
True but you can only beat whats in front of you and we have done. With ease and a much changed side. This shows the quality of player thats been sat on our bench all season. Its mad that only now, when theres little to play for, they are getting a game. I doubt kagawa, nani and even januzaj will start v bayern.
Kagawa will definitely start. At least Nani got game time which suggests he may play some part on Wednesday. Januzaj was good on the ball, but his final pass or finishing looked tired.
Theres no way he will definitely start imo. Kagawa has done well in most games this season and linked up well with Mata/rooney or whoever. Thats not made him a sure starter in any game. Im surprised when he does play as moyes just doesnt seem to rate him too highly.
Fair point about moyes selections, but with Rooney not being 100%, he's going to need somebody else to provide that creativity. Btw other than one mistake I can think of (which tbf wasn't entirely his fault) Fellaini, played very well. Hope he performs to that level against Bayern.
Agreed. UIR now makes the match threads. At least until we get tanked 8-0 by Bayern on Wednesday, then he is banished and it becomes KPR's, I mean KingEric's, turn
I would be both pissed off and happy if we went on a good run now. It would piss me of because it would be a piss take and I would be happy because it shows signs of promise. 15 more points would be nice though. Big wins and performances. #toomuch
