Shout Bronco! Interesting to hear AP describe the ground as dead on the Mildmay course. Brian Hughes reported the National course and genuine gd/sft which could get testing if any rain gets in.
Well I got tickets outside fir £30 so I got in happy enough! Hadn't paid for them other ones! So I'm open to all pointers now! Trifolium for me in the next and f/c with balder success!
I was on katagary when he was hammpered by a faller two out at chelts and got chinned on the line.im expecting him to take all the beating today and compensation awaits.im on big at 7/2
Glad you are in I'm on Balder with the rfc Trifolium!! Banked from Lac Fontana, so hoping today is a "going" day for me!
Checked my PP account and hadn't actually backed AFC - and price unappealing now, so small stake on Melodic in the hope that he gets 3m PS: The silence is deafening, are you all drunk already?
Nice one Reebs!! I must say, Channel 4 really are going 'all out' in trying to make our beautiful sport more accessible to the wider public. I think they have missed the mark on occasions in the past but kudos to them. On another note, it wasn't bad them interviewing Gemma Merna, certainly kept my attention!! I do love a big pair of bristols!!
One thing that is slightly annoying me about their coverage today is how little attention they are giving the other races. The Liverpool hurdle is a Grade 1 race for christ sake and the first we hear about it is when the horses are at the start and just about to set off!
On the Liverpool hurdle - how an earth is Whisper going off at 4/1?! No chance is he good enough to win this, been beaten easily enough in graded company before
Well done on voicing an opinion mate, but just sometimes, the horse knows best! MR wouldn't have won at 2m, let alone 3m, and although I wasn't counting AP's strikes, I'm sure the stewards were! Weisentraum next up for me
I think the fact that Whisper was good enough to win shows how poor a renewal it was! The one thing im holding on to is that three years ago i had a similar record at the Aintree Festival but then managed to pick the winner of the national in Ballabriggs!
Sorry AR but that is rubbish. I'm not an At Fishers Cross fan but that horse ran a full circuit with a shoe half off. That must have been very uncomfortable; but he still fought it out. I would say he was a very willing horse and not deserving to be called a dog.
Must have been a Big Shu... I'll get me coat Unlucky loser there, I agree with your view Ron. Well done on Balder Reebs, he's a very good Grade 2 animal
Can't help feeling LONG RUN is going to go close. With the dentist on board and Nicky ready to do a Mr Nicholls and announce so eloquently that he's just 'blown fat Paul out of the water' I think the 16/1 is a decent each-way chance. I never thought I'd say that but I am...
