As today is D-Day take 2 for Leeds, we should know the future of Cellino's bid by the time this one kicks off... Leeds are still struggling for form on the pitch, and a defeat midweek against Championship strugglers Charlton made it 3 in a row for Brian McDermott's men. With Leeds in free fall, Wigan will see this as a fantastic opportunity to please their home support by ending their faltering run, though they still remain very much in the mix for the playoffs.

This fixture is young as a league meeting, with only 4 previous meetings, so history can't tell us much, other than Wigan have the upper hand there as well as in terms of recent form. However look at the recent stats and the fact that Leeds have lost 6 from 7, while Wigan are undefeated in 10 at home and it doesn't make happy reading for the Whites. The Lactics haven't had trouble finding the net either, scoring at least 2 in 6 of their last 7 home games. Put that up against a Leeds team that have conceded 14 in their last 6 and the result almost already seems decided. Never underestimate the power of positivity though, and depending on the outcome of today's QC decision, you never know. (Well, unfortunately we probably do)

Austin may return to the team after missing the midweek fixture, while Paddy Kenny and Jimmy Kebe are still expected to be missing "injured". McDermott will probably experiment with the team again to find the winning formula.

    Wigan

Uwe Rosler is without Chris McCann and Ben Watson, though Shaun Malloney and Gary Caldwell could both return to the squad. Nick Powell is expected to start this one, possibly with Nicky Maynard dropping to the bench.

Until I get what I want, I'm sticking with my suggested 4-3-3 stubborn fool that I am. Austin still misses out with Tonge in his place, and I still think we may as well give Poleon a run out. With a lack of width, I don't see why we don't play 3 strikers and at least try and bag some goals.

    The Damned Prediction: 2-1 Loss

Wigan know that a few more good results will secure them a playoff place and so they are going to be well up for ending a run that has seen 1 win in 5. If we get some positive news out of today's decision Leeds might be a bit more up for it, but otherwise I expect the crisis of confidence to continue.

We've performed badly and been beaten by lower quality opposition recently, will this be a cricket scoreline? Will we win and prove everyone wrong? Will BMD be in the dugout? Over to you lot, let's have some scores.

Another dammed fine match thread. Much will dpend on:

    a. What happens today with the T/O & whether or not BMD is still in charge by lunchtime tomorrow; &
    b. Which Leeds team turn up. The one that' been so abject recently, or the one that gave everyone a decent game earlier in the season.

I'm going 3-1 Leeds as a result of the T/O taking place and the strain of it all lifting from the player's performances... that and Brown/Tonge in CM with Mowatt/Murphy or AN Other out wideish.

Great thread. Thankfully Im working tomorrow. I could catch half the game during my lunch break but can't be arsed. Hopefully we'll soon nick the required few survival points needed but expecting the same old ****e tomorrow, probably going one down within first five minutes. Hopefully the snake Haigh doesn't intend giving one of his pre match riveting team talks, discussing wages. Some good news hopefully this evening though and have to say I'm warming to Farnan having watched his interviews. Cant understand why he hasn't been more public before this <ok>

Well, allegedly there will be no announcement today now. So that confirms a loss for me!

Same here, can't help but feel this is going to be a thrashing however it would be typical Leeds to lose two home matches that at the start of the year had 6 points written all over them and take something from a team that must feel confident facing our current squad

This has a drubbing written all over it. Phil Hay reporting fl didn't want result of cellino case released before game in case of crowd problems, so looks like case lost if thats true

I don't understand why it is the FL's decision to release the result and not the QC deciding, there was no trouble when he was initially turned down so why would they expect different with an appeal

Lots of conjecture and conspiracy surrounding this decision. They just need to release it already. There's more chance of trouble at whatever home game follows the actual announcement than an away game at Wigan

Exactly, the QC's supposedly working independently so in theory the FL can't stop him announcing his decision. His role was purely to decide on Cellino's appeal, yes or no. If he's been told to delay his decision because there's other interested parties involved then that hardly makes him impartial.

The whole thing just stinks of corruption and the old boys FL network influencing things for the QC to come to a decision that suits them.

Not saying there was Steve, but we had Smith sent off for doing exactly the same thing, Perch has done it twice now. consistency from refs mate, that's all I ask
