The Foxes boss collects the award for the second time in three months after his side strengthened their bid for automatic promotion with four wins and two draws from six games. Victories over Charlton, Barnsley and Blackpool, draws with Blackburn and Yeovil and a superb away victory over second-placed Burnley stretched the league leaders’ unbeaten run to 19 games. Dave Bassett chairs the Sky Bet Manager of the Month judging panel. He said: “Leicester have only conceded three goals in six games so this award is truly deserved for the Sky Bet Championship pace setters.” Sky Sports’ Football League pundit Don Goodman said: “Nigel’s calm nature has been of huge benefit to the squad this season after their incredibly painful end to the last campaign. “An unbeaten month, comprising four wins, has all but promoted his team to the Premier League. “He steered his team through difficult games against Blackburn and Yeovil before rounding off the month with a professional performance at main rivals Burnley.” Sky Bet Head of Football Paul Wiggins said: “An unbeaten month has put Leicester within touching distance of the Premier League. “Pearson will be hoping for more of the same in April if they are to secure the Sky Bet Championship crown.” In Sky Bet League 1, Kenny Jackett of Wolverhampton Wanderers was named Sky Bet Manager of the Month. The Sky Bet League 2 Manager of the Month Award went to York City manager Nigel Worthington. The judging panel is chaired by former Football League manager Dave Bassett with Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson; League Managers’ director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Head of Football Paul Wiggins.
Very surprised tbh. I guess that they thought that he deserved it more than once this year! Was sure that Howe was going to get it. Maybe he'll be the next motm if he gets them in the playoffs.
There's no doubting his talent, but the blokes a ****ing idiot (to put it nicely), wouldn't want him anywhere near my club Can see why he's fitting in well at you lot though
Deserves this for putting king and hammond on the pitch. Cant wait for tonight, im going to the pub with my dad
God knows where you lot would be if he hadn't come in for Austin, so he deserved it to be fair. But anyone can have a good month... As for Nige - I know we were the only team unbeaten in March, but Bournemouth won six out of eight (75% win record compared to our 66%)! Sensational for a small club with limited resources. Howe should have won it - but I guess they see not losing as more of an achievement than the highest win record.
Only been here a month and he's outstripped all your players already....Hhhmmmm must hurt to know that.. you reckon you have anyone in your team that could match him?..i dont DD will be Treadwater soon... good job you have promotion sewn up..gonna be funny to watch him and Charlie P**s all over you at your place.... Good luck and well done NP on MOTM
Wouldn't have him anywhere near our side and the sad thing is you know that. Nugent plays in his position and I'll take his 20 goals and 13 assists any day.
Another outstanding result for the mighty QPR today. Look dead certs to win the play offs with the top form they are in right now. Ahem......
