I wouldn't be too disappointed with the 'Return of the Mac' but the figures I've seen (granted only rumours) are more than what we sold him for (inflation I guess, or Master Bates cashing in). Maybe under a new manager he could be a different player (seemed to work for Gerrard at Hull) but from the, albeit limited, times I saw him under Grayson, I didn't see a vast improvement. He played well v Burnley end of season but then I watched the recent Wales v Scotland game... hmmm.
If MM wants him and gets him for a reasonable price...who am I to argue.

I think that Mackay's system would suit McCormack more than Jones' did. In the season Ross scored goals for us, a lot of them were penalties.

Conway is being tracked by Glasgow Rangers and several Championship sides. His agent Donaghy is a former Bhoy and was at Celtic when Malky was there.

Let's see how strong the Old-Bhoys network is...hopefully Malky is still a fully paid up member!

We'vr been sold the idea of a young, go ahead, ambitious manager, full of good, new ideas........then the talk is about him re-signing ex players <doh>

Mind you if he wants to get Rog or Ramsey back <ok>

Ghost, I couldn't put SALOON after I said he's cut back on the sauce now could I:tongue:
Besides, salon is more appropriate, means getting him back is cut and dried.:1980_boogie_down:

Ahhh... I'll have to let you off that one then, but not sure I'd like to see him back TBH...hardly the return of a great hero, more a one-season ego with a nightmare for an agent!

Would that mean he'd be a fringe player?

Well I hope we are one of those Championship sides looking into him. I agree with Proph though, McCormack left because he wasn't fit and playing to the level he was required at this club, bringing him bac kwould be a step backwards.

Fresh, new players is what we want. <ok>

Considering what that phrase actually references...there's a whole chapter by Freud explaining exactly what you'd like to do to RM that doesn't need to be explained at lunchtime on a Monday...or any day for that matter!

"Something for the Weekend was originally a euphemistic reference to a condom..."

Yes Ghost, at my age I am well aware of what it means.
But if want to score you better get something for the weekend.

Did someone mention 'the Scottish play'?

As with every season it is 'a time to sleep, perchance to dream' so, never mind the result, 'the play's the thing'.

Hope it won't be the winter of our discontent!
