You couldn't break a fart you f**king knob. If you are one of them supporters at the SOL that don't make any atmosphere and would rather boo the team, then yes, you are one of the people I'm referring too.
I'm financially sound. My main priority is my two daughters. I was given a choice of football on a weekend or daughter time. Guess what I chose? I've not been a season ticket holder for many years now. Before my daughters come along, I barely missed a game. My oldest is 9 now and starting to enjoy the matches. Guess what? Me and her are getting season tickets next year. It's been a long time but now I'm reaping the awards. I've actually learned something and it's the best things are worth waiting for and if you persist with things long enough, you will be rewarded. I hope you can take something out of that
Thanks and I'm fine matey and for other welcomes lads. Just took a break from the forum as I was not enjoying it very much. Seems like another world ago since Wembley and it's going to be a painful final 2 months. I'd love to be surprised and see us scrape through but I'm a realist. I think we are buggered after West Ham result.
I don't know, Spurs are a shambles. Still holding out for them having another bad day, clutching at straws here like.
We will beat spurs beat west brom beat cardiff beat swansea and draw with either man utd ot everton. Keep the faith weve gotta backthe lads now more than ever.
I'll always support the club mate and have done for 40 years but I just don't have any faith at all that the players will deliver for us. None whatsoever.
Spot on Cest. I was talking to my bairn yesterday (14-year-old) about the grim reality of our position, and trying to have a laugh (gallows humour) about GG's "The Positive 'Championship's Alreet' Thread". Bairn looked at me with a worried expression and said "We will still go over for games next year, won't we?" and I assured him that of course we would, that I'd gone to Southend to see us play in the Third Division and that you always stick by your team! Very proud of my bairn's attitude
So booing the players is a good way of getting them playing for us is it? You admitted to booing (or ****ing someone who was booing? Your english descriptive was a little lacking as per normal) at the West Ham game. That lets the players down. Boo at the end of a game but not during - it is not conducive to success in any way shape or form - and you may be one of these "I've paid so I'll boo" types (which you strike me as) but, let's be honest, when has booing a team during a game ever been known to instill confidence or belief into a team?
Love that Dave - my boy (9 year old) has a season ticket for next season. He's delighted he's going to the match with me. When I said "Likelihood is it'll be Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County" he replied "Sunderland will still be playing won;t they? I'm going to watch Sunderland not the opposition". Big beaming proud smile appeared on my face. No matter what division they're in, I'll watch Sunderland and I'll buy my season ticket. Some people may not but true supporters stay through thick and thin.
Very true. I would imagine Marcus also agrees. I think he was aiming it at Baz who won't be renewing for the sole fact we are getting relegated
That's not what I meant mate - I meant those who can afford it, and love the club like I do, will definitely renew. 83 said he chose time with his girls but still gets to a lot of games - fully respect that and respect that people can't fork out the money! But people like some on here, who have said they won't renew but can blatantly afford it, can't IMO, call themselves true supporters of Sunderland. True supporters will make every effort to get there, Season ticket or not, regardless of how the team performs - instead of just picking seasons when things are going well
