They love it DR, don't feed their egos. Bridge of Sighs is now spouting ****e on your Maureen thread so you can expect his bum chum to follow his lead.
I think we'll fall short tbh mate. To stand any real chance we've got to beat them on Sunday, IF we did then in theory it'd be in our hands, but looking at their fixtures compared to ours, it still looks a tall order. We've got much, much closer than I thought possible though, so a solid 5th would still be a great first season for Martinez & he's looking likely to get our best ever PL points tally.
Everyone should want to compete in the Europa League rather than nothing. Any other thoughts are a disgrace to the game IMO
I do/did when questions where asked last time if was worthy of qualification Another cup, europen competition and great experience to be able to use all of your squad It has helped us not being in it this year though
it has helped but given the choice now, I'd have still picked Europa League football for this season.
I'm proper not arsed about the EL, as it's the worst of all Worlds, as it generates little revenue but requires a larger squad in order to cope with it, and it invariably affects your league form, which makes it even less likely that you'll qualify for the competition that everyone wants to be in! If that's where we end up, I'd play the youngsters / reserves in the group stages if I was Martinez, if we got through to the knockout stages then we can start taking it seriously, if not, who's arsed?
The winners from next season get a CL spot so expect it to be taken a little more serious after this year.
Based solely on the progress made by both clubs this season, it'd be hard to argue that they're not the best 2 'up and coming' managers I think Pelligrini has done a decent job at City as well though.
19 games it takes to win the ****er though mate, that's another half a season added to the fixture calendar.
They've both made our teams tick and there seems to be a great spirit at both clubs. Our turnaround, win the PL or not, has been nothing short of phenomenal.
Just been over to the Chavs board. Can somebody please tell me what they are on about claiming that we blamed them for what happened at Hysel?
There was a comment saying that LFC had said there was cockney accents in the crowd Why they automatically assume they were Chelsea fans is beyond me just because they were from London Also to my knowledge there isnt a direct quote from our chairman saying that there were cockney accents
