Food poisoning. I'd asked for medium-raw as always but its was very raw, I ate it anyway. Felt dodgy immediately after eating and the pudding / pint didn't help. After going to football I started getting chest pains, went pale, cold sweats, etc. After fetching the mrs (not married) from her mums and the kids from my mothers, I finally got home an hour later. Spent an hour and half in a red hot bath (kept turning hot tap on and off) before literally dragging myself from the bath to bed without drying myself (the mrs (not married) wasn't happy with me since I'd soaked the bed through) and didn't move for about fourteen hours!
Does sound quite nasty, to be fair. No ****ting (unpaid for) or spewing? I'd go back to the gaff and demand free ale all night
Nope, didn't flush the system bar a very small amount of sick (equivalent to can wastage). Won't be going back there in a hurry
That's bad that, as even a very rare steak shouldn't be an issue, as the centre of the steak hasn't been exposed to the air and therefore should contain no bacteria. You're young and relatively fit, so have thrown it off after sweating it out for half a day, but joking apart, that could have been a major issue for a senior. I'd dob them in to the Environmental health, as it's likely they've got some unsafe practises going on in their kitchen / chiller.
Try asking for medium-well instead of medium-rare, the centre gets cooked so it's not still pink. I always have well done
Its horrible, Ive never had it but my mate did once after dodgy chicken wings (that were pink, but we'd had a few and he still ate them ) and he looked like death warmed up!
Thought of that but it varies so much depending where you go. I actually like it raw (got to love the juices) but say medium-raw to play it safe. Sometimes get them come and I'd consider them well done.
I always check Chicken wings / legs etc, very easy to get under cooked chicken. Never touch the chicken legs at a buffet either
Did I mention it was a 20oz steak too? Yeah, seems strange. I know others that were ill around the same time (three including the mrs (not married)) but they all "deposited" whereas I didn't. Maybe just a coincidence?
