Yeah - I think many people will post when they're going to away games. So if many are going to Southampton then we can all meet up. Peterborough sounds good to me too :) Hope Watford will give me an early birthday present!

Peterborough would be a good game, i might even make an appearence at my first away game since west ham in the prem. Its difficult for me to get to away games with uni and it being so expensive.

Supplement your diet with drink? Sink a few pints of Guinness and you will be OK - I won't tell!

I'm not fussed but preferably it needs to be one where: a) flights from Jersey go to an airport which is reasonably close Fri night/ Sat am (although South Coast I have got the option of the ferry)
    b) if there's not an airport close by, there are decent rail links from the nearest one that'll get me there on time - rules out Cardiff unless the Valley Lines have improved since I was at Uni
    c) it's not during school holidays - my 15yo (16 in Jan) likes the idea and wants to go as well and he spends most school hols at his grandparents in France (if it is in the school hols, I could take Fri pm off work to give me a choice of more flights)

That only gives a choice of about 5, doesn't it? I'll just go with the majority decision.

Train lines to Cardiff are actually pretty good from the south. They have a pretty regular Portsmouth to Cardiff one, that goes through Southampton and Bristol (thinking airports for you). It is now again a bit late, but never that bad, and no worse than any other - and the ground is reasonable walking distance from Cardiff Central (I walked it last year).

The Cardiff game is a bank holiday Monday though, which might cause problems!

For me, I think Southampton or Cardiff are the main options, but possibly somewhere like Birmingham - will they still have tickets at Premiershp prices??

How about Forest East Mids airport and good train links! Excellent for pubs and clubs! hotels etc!
Failing that Southampton or Pompey gets my vote

Think we need a poll !<laugh>
