Yeah a very weak Neptune. Only had the Irish banker of the meeting in it that everyone on here said was unbeatable! Well not quite everyone! LOL

I'd like him to go to Punchy though. That would be a great spectacle.

I personally would love to see TNO jump a fence in all honesty, can't see that happening though as connections believe he is 'owed' a Champion Hurdle.

No antepost bets as of yet but I'm really fond of Guitar Pete (I know, could be a year too soon - heart ruling head if I'm honest) and think there are worse 33/1 shots to be had.

You said it yourself! Bad luck and one crucial mistake has prevented him being unbeaten this season! So why all the dissenters on here......ludicrous! That IS my last word!

I'm not regurgitating the analysis of the Neptune again mate. I thought Pont would win that race but seriously are you basing his reputation on a hype horse that's not run since?

My last word would be to say no one knows how those races would have finished but I can't divorce his bad jumping from the analysis of any race he runs in because he always has a bad jump in him. The Our Connor incident was unfortunate for all but there's no way to discern whether he would of won. There's many ways to read that race. Did HF under perform? If he did, has Jezki run to form. Does that mean Our Connor would have won had he completed?

When TNO clattered the last at Kempton was that down to bad luck or the horses inability to hurdle at speed when put under pressure by MTOY?

As for Cheltenham, I agree, he was extremely unlucky when getting impeded. Whether, it made a difference to him winning, who knows? It can be argued that he lost lengths, ultimately costing him the race. It can also be argued that had he made it to the front, he could have been out-battled or even idled on the run in (as seen today).

I'm of the opinion that it seems when it is served up to him, he isn't quite top notch.

It's all speculation and opinions which is why I love this game.

hahaha........if only I could be arsed to trawl through that seasons threads where I got told many times that Pont was the promised one LOL

Drever, that Kempton run was a true examination and I take your point on the chin. I will always believe that it was one of the races STD lost, not TNO! You have no chance of seeing him chasing any time soon, he has just one target on the horizon!

Why does everybody assume the New One would have gone past My Tent or Yours in the Champion had he not been impeded? No one can say that for certain...... If we go back to the Champion Hurdle thread I think I was the only one for the Tent and most of you were for the Fly, The New One or Our Conor. I was the only one trumpeting the Tent! As Henderson said no other horse could tank round in a champion hurdle race and fail to win the race by a necks margin..Outstanding effort - if only he'd settle better!

He cruised into the lead today and put lengths between himself and his rivals with his turn of foot, I agree that like last year 2m 4 just stretches him that little bit too far
He will win the champion hurdle next year of that I am in absolutely no doubt
