Thought I had done my dough on that Yankee but had a nice little Brucie bonus when I checked as for some reason I left Dynaste out and had Warne in instead :)

    For the doubters...

Not overly interested in the last but have had a bit eway on Doctor Harper 8/1.

Well done on everyone else's winners.

Wasn't impressed by The New One but he had his head in front where it matters I guess.

Well done on the winners today lads <applause>

Just re-watched The New One, coming to the last you'd think he'll go on and win 5 or 6 lengths but he either got lonely in front (which he hasn't done before) or doesn't really get the trip. It was nice to see Rock On Ruby back over hurdles and IMHO he should stay there - never had him down as a chaser. I reckon they could land some nice prizes with him next season.

The New One simply isn't the horse some on here make him out to be. All out hanging on for grim death against Rock on Ruby and Diakali <rofl>

As for not Twiston Davies saying he doesn't stay 2m 4f....he bleeding well won a Neptunes round Cheltenham, which is a much stiffer track and a furlong longer to boot, so try again Nigel boy <rofl>

    Rant over and out <laugh>

Got it wrong. Thankfully busy at work all day or would have had a few angry bets after this rubbish.

Well done if you had winners today. Looking at the results it was a tough day.

Thats the impression I got today, he doesnt really stay 2m4 and you have to think the same if you watch his run in the same race last year. Running in the hottest Christmas and Champion Hurdles for a long time since then would not have helped him to see it out any better!

Obviously winning the Neptune we just assumed he stays 2m4 but that was one of the slowest run festival races your likely to see, hence him running the last half mile quicker than the Champion Hurdlers. At an end to end gallop at the top level 2m4 is clearly the ceiling and hes only just touching it with fingertips on his tiptoes.

He showed that power on the snaff again today, looked absolutely different class but just scraped in. Lets not forget, this horse was trained to run the race of his life 3 weeks ago and he had a seriously hard race there. Ive no doubt he is still the one to beat in the Champion Hurdle next season and he could have done us all a favour there as the price should be nicer now than it would have been if he romped in the way he looked like he was going to.

Comments not of sound mind and body imo, if I was a betting man id bet there was some sort of underlying resentment of The New One and Twiston Davies in there somewhere. Agenda driven drivel, utterly useless to the forum but it happens to the best of us.

I've not reviewed the thread yet but well done if you had some winners.

Can't comment about The New One. I know for a fact Diakali has been criminally underrated over the intermediate trip though so I wouldn't be too down about the margin of the win.

Its crazy to say anything derogatory about either TNO or HF to be honest, the former we will never know, whilst the latter is a legend. Just shows that most people view racing with their heart rather than their head

I'd also point out that Rock On Ruby looked something like back to his best today. Very slick and fast at his hurdles, got a beautiful ride from Fehily and just looked a completely different horse to the one smashed by TNO at Kempton. I thought he ran a cracker today. It was a good performance by TNO, I'm not sure whether he reached the edge of his stamina or whether he started looking around - potentially distracted by the dodgy scouse birds in the crowd when STD moved him over to the stands rail??

Or perhaps that Cheltenham took a lot out of him, I still say that by losing that ground he had to go faster for longer than he would normally have to do, and he had a tough race that day. It says a lot that he won today in my book.
