There have been many great individual performances from Town players this season and now with just a few games left (and hopefully playoffs) to come I thought it would be good to gauge your opinions for the best player this season. If the Town player that you want to vote for is not shown on the list then please let us know who the player is and why! I haven't included Joniesta because he has only just joined us! I have voted for Berra as he has been superb and in my opinion is by far the best Centre Back in the League! COYB
Obviously I can't speak from first hand experience but by all accounts Berra has settled in nicely to the team. He has been consistently solidly defensively, even though he his playing on his least favoured side, and has contributed with goals at the other end.
Christophe also nominated for player of the month. Very solid signing. Torn between 3 on the vote. Might mull it over a day or 2.
Who voted for Tabb?? I've gone for Berra, he's been the most consistent for me all year. Cresswell would still be up there IMO for the amount he's contributed to the team and how consistent he's been. McGoldrick has been very good obviously and Skuse has also but with those 2 there's a part of me which doubts the overall effect they have on the balance of the team particularly Skuse in that I don't think they bring the best out of their partners.
McGoldrick - only injury prevented him becoming our first 20 goal scorer, and this in an "uncreative" side.
Should have re-read my post. Missed out "this season" and "in a while". But yes - unless i've missed some dramatic news that he's over his injury - next season he can come back stronger and more potent to break the 20 goal mark. I actually think Chambers should be in with a good chance of player of the year, asked to play out of position for the majority of the year putting in consistently admirable performances and never grumbling about Berra stealing his spot - but if we started handing out the award on attitude alone the majority of the squad would be eligible.
Ill be on the Hunt for a Gherkin, which will give me an exSkuse for a pint of Murphys. On a slightly more serious note McGoldrick would have walked it for me had he not got injured and would've surely given us 20+ goals this season.
Berra all day long, end of the day it is over the full season, Didsy was awesome whilst fit but Berra has been a rock for the full term. Who would have thought splitting up Chambo & Tommy would have made our CB pairing even stronger but Berra has.!
