As a child I once took home a family of wild rats I found living under an underpass. These days kids are soft and taking home flowers!

My, now dead, Gran used to live there. It is one of those nothing cities. Give it to the Welsh before we build the huge barracades (manned by killer sheep) cutting off Wales and Scotland from this great country and no one would miss it (yes I'm in one of my Victor Meldrew moods today)

"Forgotten Cabbage". Is Michael Schumacher soon to become the Forgotten Cabbage of Formula 1?

Anyway... yeah, I agree; there are certain people who seem to have taken it upon themselves to become professional HDM-bashers, constantly whinging about journalistic standards, covering everything from being slow on the uptake with stories to spelling, punctuation and grammar issues. The reality is that, by comparison to other regional papers, the Mail actually sets very high standards (as recognised by winning many awards). You only have to live in a different part of the country for a while to realise how good it is, too!

Regarding Hereford.... I've been there a few times and it's a lovely town, in a lovely part of the world, with loads of history and some great boozers, including one of my all-time favourites, in the form of The Barrels:

When I was a child I dragged a dead seagull from Hessle Foreshore to my home in Penshurst Avenue, as I thought my mum could cook it!! Oh dear, what a deprived childhood, and that was in the East Riding!!

You're suggesting Charlie1 is old enough to be my mother? Ok, adopted mother?

Its Hereford, they're probably farmers, no need to get all working underclass on them.
