At those prices, the distance and the fact it's a 12:45 KO I don't think we would have sold masses. Even our first game back in the PL we didn't sell out there.
But by what measure are you going to compare them? Goals, assists, chances created? In every instance the stats for Davis superior. I know stats don't tell the whole story, but they would certainly suggest that Davis brings more to the side than Gaston does. He creates twice as many chances, provides more assists, scores more goals and more importantly is fit enough to play more minutes in more games.
Ramirez & Lallana play in the same position. Both are best suited to that freer role linking Midfield to Attack. The form of Lallana has meant Ramirez has had to find a role elsewhere. Lallana would not be as effective if he was asked to cover the right back as the right midfielder has to do.
Pellegrini has a more or less fully fit squad to pick from with Aguero and Jovetic back from injury. I expect we will play one up top to allow us to compete better in the middle and counter the effective saints pressing game Hart Zabaleta Kompany Demichellis Clichy Fernandinho Yaya Nasri Silva Navas Aguero Think it will be a very close game, one we desperately need to win
They've got Aguero on the bench? Pah! We've got Guly. If the City team are as nervous as their fans for this game I think they are there for the taking with a high pressure start from us. Just don't let them settle at all. Just been on the City website and quite impressed with the pre match arrangements. http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Club-news/2014/April/BT-City-Square-Southampton. It's a bit NFL style but for me this is the way it is going to make it much more of a day out. City also list on their web site every TV channel transmitting this game for pretty much every country. #quietlyimpressed
I expect Aguero to start and be given an hour rather than come off the bench. Wouldn't be the first time for Southampton to put a spoke in the works, they ruined the last game at Maine rd for us as well the selfish bastards
When I see the City team written out like that I immediately think to myself "don't see much of a problem there for our div3 & 18yr olds". Would love to get a result, but would like City to take the title.
