Only season ticket holders who have had a pass for 2 years or more could apply for 2 per pass.

Yes your right Bum Chinned however it was only so many pass holders who got the chance of two tickets which were all adults and seniors(not Kids) who have had a season pass for two seasons or more so all them what got a pass for this season in the premier league were not and i would imagine that would be a few thousand.

If 22,000 have sold already is it safe to say that all of the bottom tier seats are gone (the blue ones)?

I sat down there for the play offs. But it looks like i'll be applying for yellow which are higher up. Is the view/atmosphere still good up there?

I was right up in the Gods for the play-off and the view was great, no problem.

I qualified for two, just bought one.

No one else tapped me up for one, and just going with 2 other pass holders anyway who got their own.

It'll be embarrassing if we don't sell out & Sheff Utd do.

How many tickets do you think we could have sold?

    18,000 season ticket holders @ 1 each.

From those 18,000 season ticket holders remove anybody who only bought a season ticket this season - was it 14,000 last season?
From those 14,000 remove anybody that's U21 (is it 18-21 or 18-22?). Maybe 8,000 left?

That would mean we'd sold 22,000 from a potential 26,000, which is what, 85% take up? It's not bad.

Thats 22,000 JUST season ticket holders.

You now have General Sale at the minute which is for those who have bought 2 or more tickets this season.
Then eventually you get General Sale.

We may not sell out completely but it will be pretty close. Do you think those who went to the Semi will have priority for the final?

I have been sorted with one by one of our members and was offered assistance by others, which is simply a superb thing.

Na'then, when we get through, not if, I will be after two for Wembley - me and the wife, sat together. Anyone with ideas is most welcome. As well as pay for the tickets, I will also make a decent donation to MacMillans Nurses, as a token of my gratitude.

As a side note, I don't know if I have been naïve, but I always thought there were troops of MacMillan's Nurses out there, all making daily home calls; I was shocked when I was at Castle Hill and discovered there are only three in Hull - North, West and East. I believe it is mirrored up here in Tyne and Wear.

I will be putting some thought into on how to raise funds - watch this space in the summer.

They really shouldn't, and I'm not just saying that because I haven't applied. The current system is fine for the Final, just drop the 2nd ticket for those of us who qualified this time (and make the 2 games not include Wembley). Otherwise if there's any 2 game fans miss out this time you're basically saying they can **** off for the Final as well.

No , just one ticket per season ticket holder and then a small number to people who have been to other games this season

I suspect it will be 1 ticket per pass holder so it'll not be easy for non-pass holders before General Sale to get 2 together.

I'd have to suggest we check on the legalities of doing it before it happens because I could see it being classed as a breach of the rules on buying tickets. But providing every season ticket holder is guaranteed a ticket and there's no profit being made I don't see a moral issue with anyone choosing to let someone else have their ticket (this is their ticket, not any second ticket entitlement which could deny another season ticket holder one). On that basis, if it came to it we could have a thread for season ticket holders that aren't going to the Final to say so? You'd then be looking to get two of them to apply for tickets together for you.

Like I say, the big question is over the organised transferring of tickets from pass holders to non-pass holders potentially being against the rules and being frowned on in a big way, we don't want people trying to be helpful and winding up getting banned from the ground for touting.

Exactly, which is why I have put it out there early, so it's legitimacy can be scrutinised and commented upon. Morally I see nothing wrong - the charitable donation would be at least equal to the price of the tickets and, should someone feel fit, the ticket cost could also go there, should they feel suitably charitable - but that is expecting an awful lot from folk and not too realistic, but folk never stop surprising me. No one would be denied their rightful ticket and the incentive is for two to work together (in a small way) to raise a decent donation to a very worthwhile charity. I am not a rich man, but I am not greedy either. If it turns out to be wrong, in any way, I will withdraw the offer and climb over the fence at half-time, our lass might struggle, but . . . <ok>

There were apparently only 8,000 season ticket holders who qualified for two tickets, so good guess.

If it's correct that we have 10,000 tickets left on the day they go on general sale, I think we'll get through them no problem.
