I don't mind this at all, though whatever he decides I think they need to get a few games playing together before than, it may show our hand but I think it would be worth while. Real shame Philips won't be back, then I'd be really excite about the team.
I was speaking to a bloke who had managed a word with Charlie directly so only second hand. Hoping for Forrest game in which case I would expect bench for first half.
Which is why we won't see it, bae will be in at LB, if not then hill, Henry will probably play as we don't need to win any games to go up, penalties will do. It wouldn't surprise me if oneil found his way in somehow too.
OK...now i am confused. Just a couple of points The first and what appears glaringly obvious is that we have 1 up front? Is that correct? If so, how many posts & posters were there screaming at Harry over the first half of the season to play 2 up front? Almost everyman & his dog was moaning about only playing 1 up front, yet now it appears we are creaming ourselves over what Harry was origionally doing? Secoond, I like the look of Yun but we need to see more of him to decide if he is up to the big pressure games. I'd probably opt for BAE first off jst for a bit of stability under pressure. i know he appears to not give a toss, but I'm not sure that would be the case if playing at Wembley. Big game, cameras etc..? hill and Dunne wou.ld be decided on the flip of a coin for me. Honestly cant separate them but if its experience you want under pressure, thenhas to be Dunne doesnt it? Looks like almost our best team with or without injuries. If that team cant win a play off final or beat most of the teams in this league, then I'm missing something. NOTE: I did say MOST
That is a nice looking team, would love to see it as soon as possible to get Charlie some match sharpness. Although I do agree with Queenslander!! regarding Yun/BAE I think the only way we could play 2 up front would be to play 5-3-2/3-5-2 with Simpson and Traore as wing backs to provide the necessary width to attacks (that's something i'd like to see in the future, but will take some practising) -------------------------Green------------------------ -----------Onuoha-----Dunne------Hill-------------- Simpson--------------------------------------Traore -------------------Barton------Jenas------------------ ------------------------Morrison----------------------- ----------------Bobby-----------Austin---------------- which could very easily and without changing players be transformed to 4-4-2 by playing Barton as RM, Traore as LM and Clint as LB -------------------------Green------------------------ Simpson----------Onuoha-----------Dunne--------Hill Barton---------Morrison-------Jenas-----------Traore ----------------Bobby---------Austin------------------- or to 4-5-1 to cover a lead by replacing Bobby with Hoillett -------------------------Green------------------------ Simpson----------Onuoha-----------Dunne--------Hill -------------------Barton------Jenas------------------ Hoilett-----------------Morrison-----------------Traore -------------------------Austin-----------------------
Mate, we have 2 decent dedicated Left backs at the club now. i never want to see Hill in that position again Yun has proved he can step up when needed. Hill (as much of a great man that he is) is NOT a left back even though he gives his all. Looking at these players and pos formations we have the basis of a decent team.
Yes, I agree Yun/BAE should be played as LB before Hill, was just thinking of the formation changes based on the "original" 5-3-2/3-5-2 without changing too many on field players. We certainly have the basis for next years team in Simpson, Onuoha, Yun, Barton, Hoillett, Austin, Phillips and so on.
I've said for a while now that I recon Henry is our answer to every possible lineup. With him in front of the back four we can always afford to push up.
