A Comfortable 2 - 0 win over a poor Colchester side, but what a pathetic response from the 14,000 glory-hunting fans at Wembley
who could not be bothered to turn up tonight.

 

Good result tonight for your lads and still a game in hand. Don't know what your attendance was OPP but in fairness, I can't make a lot of midweek games without going into detail say in comparison to weekends, due to work commitments, does that make me any lesser a supporter, its the same for a lot of people. Also don't forget Wembley is an expensive day out, then to have another game only three days later hits the finances.

The Gills are playing Posh next Tuesday and I have seen a few Gills supporters tweeting your Chairman. He happened to comment on the attendance at Posh tonight and Gills followers have jumped on the bandwagon and reminded him that you are the most expensive team in the league for away fans, I believe £25 or £28 on match day. My fellow supporters are not happy. The Chairman may argue £5 concessions make no difference but it certainly would following a Wembley final.

We only charged Posh supporters about £10 when they came to our place. I'm speaking for supporters as a whole and comments i have seen tonight on twitter.

Less that 4.500 turned up, which is virtually ST holders only plus a few hardy souls from Colchester.

I would have thought another 1,000 from the 18,000 who made it to Wembley would not have been too much to ask
