Good shout though ... we need to look for the 'Huddlestones' of this world i.e very good players just not getting opportunities ... I've got one I've always liked, Gylfi Sigurdsson, hardly getting a look in at Spurs yet seems to notch goals from midfield for fun ... anybody else got any?

Sidwell. If Fulham go down there could be a chance of him wanting to stay in the prem. He´s a work horse & does well in the FANTASY FOOTBALL comp.
Tom Ince is avalible from Blackpool still. He is only on loan at Palace Blackpool would be due some compensation but it would be peanuts. I would take him anyday
To be honest I'm not sure we would of got someone of huddlestones stature had we not had Bruce in charge , this is were I see Pearson struggling , I'm not saying players won't be queuing up to sign for Leicester I just don't see them signing someone of that quality .
No, you wouldn't have got Huddlestone if you hadn't bid 5m. Nigel Pearson (and especially Steve Walsh) know how to find talent and I think they'll continue to do that in the PL.
We already have a "Huddlestone" in Danny Drinkwater While it remains to be seen if Drinkwater can do it in the prem but based on this season he will have no problems adjusting
Still think it makes a difference having Bruce in charge holloway and palace could of bid double that and he wouldn't of gone there
Yes, but not bidding £5M is what would have stopped Tottenham accepting the bid, I don't think Huddlestone would be convinced one way of the other by what the fee was. Players of his stature (ie at a European qualifying club) are obviously a lot more likely to join a newly promoted club if they're managed by someone who's previously got 2 or 3 other clubs promoted and established in the PL than if they's managed by someone who's never managed at that level for any real length of time before, because that gives the player more confidence to think he's not going to be getting relegated at the end of the season..
Cant disagree with that Ricardo. Will be interesting to see who we target during the summer. I would be surprised if we change our transfer philosophy significantly. Pearson appears to have good relationships through football, and Walshy overseeing a good scouting network. Good players will be available, but if their attitude wont fit, then they wont be coming here. Never heard of Mahrez or Knockaert before we signed them - kinda expect more of the same.
That is a point as well. Where Bruce gives us the edge with players like Huddlestone, and unknowns from Egypt and maybe South America someone like Pearson would swing it for you for younger players from lower down the leagues but with a lot of potential because he's got more of a track record for picking up "not quite good enough for a big club" kids of 18 or 19 and making them into a team. Obviously I'm giving each side the edge in those situations based on everything else being equal.
Yes, but I think there are many other more important factors for footballers when making decisions. Such as wages, club, training ground, the city, the team, the team they support etc. Huddlestone didn't hear about your interest and say "get me to Hull, that Steve Bruce is a genius". You can't deny that Bruce has spent most of his career as a manager in the relegation zone, I don't think that people outside of Hull rate him as highly as you do.
Why do you think PL players take no notice of the Championship. Why do you assume that PL players will ignore Leicester because Pearson hasn't managed there? Fun fact for you, Nigel Pearson caretaker managed the England U21 side that included Huddlestone and Rosenior.
One HUGE factor in Huddlestone's mind must have been that the Bale money was being aimed at maybe as many as 6 midfield recruits as well as other areas - he must have been aware that he was going to end up so far down the pecking order he'd be lucky to get a game with the development squad ... as such, I think he was certain to move and it was then just a question of his options ... Steve Bruce has proven to be very astute in the transfer market - Long, Jelavic, Huddlestone and Figeroa are all quality acquisitions (ignoring loans for the moment) and Hull have a real chance of an FA Cup Final appearance and some silverware ...
