Hello boys, lot of rumours down these parts that Mr Lennon maybe our new manager next season. Can any of you shed any light on this.Do any of you think he would be able to do a job for us. Cheers then and congrats on another great season.
I dont rate him particularly highly. Many Celtic fans have dedicated their life to rimming him because he is irish, catholic, ginger and has had letter bombs posted to him by protestant zombie drone killers working under the masonic shadow government of The Rangers International Sevco FC.
What's wrong with the job the current guys doing? You have a squad of players that are doing very much as you would expect. You are probably going to survive and that is good considering your squad. Its not a squad that can go much further than Premiership survival. I don't think Lennon would be tempted to a job if the expectations are unrealistic given the resources while he's in a good job and highly appreciated.
I suspect he'll go to Norwich in the summer. He's bored out of his tits with Scottish football and needs a new challenge. I further suspect he'll last till about January 2015 before getting sacked and ending up at some Championship club.
But seriously, no haven't heard anything other than the odd titbit about this. I can't see him leaving this summer but it will happen at the end of next season, regardless of how we do. A good run in the CL and he can leave on a high; a bad run and he can say he's fed up with it all and it's the right time to go.
Newspaper talk that's all. Every time there's even a hint of a managerial vacancy in England the Scottish press get a hard on and attempt to get Lenny a job he neither needs nor wants.
Odd that they keep forgetting to mention the managerial and tactical genius that is Alistair McCoist, currently leading a new club that is less than 2 years old, through the lower leagues of Scottish football. They're even unbeaten this season and are also in to the final of a regional amateur cup. It surely can't be long before a bigger team decides to take a gamble on this young, popular manager and give him the opportunity he deserves.
Indeed, he's done a tremendous job with the bare bones of a 55 man squad and a £7m a year budget, the only problem though for Norwich is that Ally McCoist don't do walking away. He's "Loyal" to a fault so perhaps some free shares in Norwich (up to the value of £3m) may tempt him away.
