To be fair, he has reffed both us and Sheff Utd in the cup this season, so at least he knows about both sides.
Are they really going to stand him down this weekend for his gaffe last weekend, and then give him a big semi final game the week after?
Not sure. He's from the West Midlands, so geographically he no influences anyway. He has reffed City vs Sheff Utd in the FA Cup before - back in 2008/09. He reffed Sheff Utd 1-1 Fulham in the FA Cup earlier this season too. Here are some stats... This season: 32 games 97 Yellows 12 Reds 7 of those 12 reds came in his last 8 games, 3 in one game. 2 of them were for Sunderland in the game earlier this season at the KC. Of course he was the man who sent off Gibbs instead of Chamberlain, but we all know that. All Hull City games he has reffed: 2013/14 Hull 1-0 Sunderland Arsenal 2-0 Hull Hull 2-1 Brighton (FA Cup) 2009/10 Fulham 2-0 Hull Wigan 4-1 Hull (FA Cup) Hull 1-2 Arsenal Hull 0-0 Liverpool 2008/09 Newcastle 1-2 Hull Hull 0-3 Chelsea Man City 5-1 Hull Sheff Utd 1-1 Hull (FA Cup) Wigan 1-0 Hull 2007/08 Ipswich 1-0 Hull 2003/04 Hull 1-0 Rochdale

Didn't We Beat Sheffield United 2-1 In The Cup Last Time? Mariner ****ed Up Somehow And Halmosi Got A Goal He Shouldn't Have Got? I Had A Run In With A Blades Supporting Copper In Leicestershire The Very Next Night, He Was Bitter About It - Very Bitter - Saw My Tiny Little Hull City Sticker In The Bottom Of My Boot Window And Had Me Over. Turned The Car Upside Down And Practically Took The Whole Thing Apart Looking For Something To Do Me For, Kept Me At. The Roadside Almost 2 Hours. What A ****, Hope He's At Wembley To Witness His Team Get A Pasting.
We beat them after a replay. The first game was at their joint and we drew 1-1. Their goal came after a clever Kevin Nolan-style shove in the box so I was pissed at that. In the second leg the lino gave a goal when Kyle Naughton (I think it was) headed it at the underside of his own crossbar. They showed a replay inside the ground which showed it didn't go in and their lot all went mental. Halmosi also scored but apart from him being **** there wasn't any controversy there.
