Why do you think Farage gets so much attention and now support? I would have expected a better response from both you Piskie and Cym, than the usual bashing. When you have the same faceless knobjocky politicians, with the same policies and the same bloody media trained rubbish, then a guy as obnoxious as Farage stands out. He says something different, he is his own man and above all, he seems to have intelligence, even if some of the stuff he says is garbage and wrong. Nick Clegg isn't a proper politician, neither are the other two knobs. The level of politicians around are just poor. I'm sure that Tony Benn (God rest his soul), just before he passed away, could still wipe the floor with the majority of these politicians.

<doh> there is one thing ignorant and it wasn't Benn. Have you ever read his words - I can lend you some of his work if you want - you'll see that none of what you said is true. Don't get your views from the Sun.

Totally disgusted with the whole lot of you bashing ukip. Expected better.

If your too unintelligent to understand why they are gaining support that's your own problem but wishing he died in a plane crash is just disgusting.

Ukip becoming a major party is quite possibly the best thing to happen to politics in the last 100 years.

Whether you agree with there policies or not a political system where the only two parties are the conservatives and labour is not good for the country and has lead to thsame bunch of idiots running the country for far too long.

It's a shame you haven't fallen over in your old age and died.

Not a particularly nice comment is it.

Of course they should be given proper media coverage, they are the fourth largest political party in the country. Whether you like them or not that is what democracy is. And the fact is they are a large party with continually growing support.

Or if people's views don't go along with our own we seek to stop them having a platform to speak?

Totally agree. It's time we get rid of this out-dated two party system, it's as bad as the Americans, oh wait its the bloody same!

It is a matter of fact that some people are listening to and voting for UKIP. It maybe 'tactical' but it is happening. All parties should be given the platform to put their case and then the people can decide which party they would like to represent them. Too many people have become lethargic and switched off from politics because of the anaemic two party fight between two parties that are increasingly unable to really separate themselves. A wider range of views may prompt some people into realising that they have a vote and to use it and use it wisely.

I actually did fall over last week and hurt myself.
I won't say that I wished you'd died when you had a car crash a few months ago

I wasn't actually wishing death on you, I was drawing attention to how offensive your comments were. You're reaction to my post shows you don't think it's acceptable to wish death on someone.

That isn't what the party stand for at all. They have had some wrong uns in there as some of those with the views you mention feel angry about immigration and so go for the parties which will bring those issues to the forefront. That doesn't make the party racist.

They've also done well to weed out the worst of them.

Either way, whether you think there a bunch of racists or an alternative party, they should be allowed the same media coverage as the other key parties.

Re-read my post, I accept they have had some wrong uns (which they are actively working to change) but that shouldn't effect them having the same rights as everyone else.

It came across as the statement of a bitter old lefty to me if I'm perfectly honest. I find your thatcher comments distasteful as well.

And that's totally fine, but if you constantly make comments wishing death or laughing about the deaths of people you can't expect someone not to find it offensive. It's like your trying to take some moral high ground without acting in moral way...
