Consistency ref. Schweinsteiger off for a challenge no worse than Valencia. Hardly touched him compared to Valencia <doh>

Why are #bbcsalford so happy? Man Utd are now losing the tie on away goals. Are they really so relieved just to not be blown away?

It must be said that Unied had the tactics right, sitting tight while leaving Rooney and Welbeck upfield on the prowl at all times.

I don't know tbh how a team that plays so far up like Bayern lets in only 16 goals all season in their league.

Well disappointed in bayern not sure what all the fuss is about. Whenever I have seen ribery he never seems to do anything. I think bayern were there for the taking tonight Suarez sterling and studge could caused them allsorts of problems.

Not overly shocked. Moyes, like Hodgson, likes being the underdogs and knows how to set up a team to defend and hope to snatch something via a set piece.

markswjg: @philmcnulty looking forward to your imminent article on "how united have now turned a corner" #utdfanzine #bbcfootball

<laugh>

I think this is good, the more games for United, the better, as they will get fatigued and it will affect their performance in the league....Oh wait. :D

Bayern don't need to defend in Germany, everyone rolls over.

This is moyes greatest ever achievement though, not losing in the cl qf, but the away leg will be interesting
