There is nothing in ANY religious text which states that FGM must be carried out to abide by the laws/rules of that religion, therefore it has little or nothing to do with religion because as I have said several times even if a religion ceased to exist FGM would still continue in some societies. The World Health Organisation and UNICEF have both published reports which back up what i'm saying. Maybe you know better than them?
