Yeah I agree, although I wouldn't want him for 5m. Maybe a loan with the option. Maybe Tom Huddlestone?
Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson is a decent player and is out of contract at the end of the season, we should give him a trial.
Faye doesn't need replacing. He's only played in 3 League games all season, and the last of those was in October. His place/wages in the squad will be the ones that are used to sign a full back. Figueroa provides at least the same the cover for CB that Faye has this season (ie 5th choice). You're just picking which full back to sign then. Dudgeon will be one option as back up, and Figueroa the other due to Dudg's injury history. With Rosie capable of playing either side, I'd actually sign a right back and use Rosie on the left so that there's 2 of each without having to alter the midfield. LW - Brady/Boyd RW - Elmo CM - Quinn/Hudds/Meyler We need to add a right winger, and a centre mid to that (possibly Livermore). Up front you'd keep Long and Jelavic obviously. We know they work well together, and we've then got Aluko as well. You need to keep one of Sagbo and Fryatt and let the other move on, and then that young kid will be the 5th choice striker. I know he's development squad, but if the development squad can't be pushing for a solid 5th choice for 2 shirts in the side then how far away are they from giving us anybody? That would stabilise us to some extent, give us the players we need steadily, without too much change, and would let us balance the books as well.
