Your argument is weakening by the minute, Patty; be the bigger man and admit Liverpool are just as bad as the rest of 'em
I never said that they were STREETS ahead, I just think they are the best of a bad lot. I have seen that LFC TV channel, with primary school kids talking about the success of the team. It makes my toes want to curl - how ****ing embarressing is that?
Yeah but I don't even think there's evidence to back that up, tbh. I honestly can't say I've ever watched LFC TV; is there something you need to admit to us?
The only viable 4 are Liverpool, ManC, Arsenal and Chelsea. ManC and Chelsea? no thank you (for cash reasons, buying the league) Arsenal? do you know that Talk ****e, the radio station, has a segment called The Daily Arsenal.. where they talk about the club for half an hour every day? I think it's everyones favourite G head, Adrian Durham that does it (which is strange cos he is a Posh fan). When he was challenged on it, he said "A club like Arsenal haven't won anything in 8 years and they should be winning things" I can't remember them doing anything about Nottingham Forest or Liverpool who have won more. so that leaves Liverpool, being a northern city helps too. But more than that, I think they have had bad managers in the past and finally they have found their feet.
But we've just established the fact that they're actually massive spenders themselves, and that it's a myth about them not trying to "buy" the title, like Chelsea and Man City have. Yeah, I listen to it. The Daily Arsenal isn't on every day and it's only on for a few minutes. Plus, they also do one for Spurs! Yep. Just another example of how people are ****ing brainwashed into being obsessed with The Big Clubs, and the belief that they somehow "deserve" to be winning things. Bit tenuous that mate. Still, if that's your reason, then fair enough.
Whatever. But seriously, what was your problem with it before? There were plenty of people criticising the thread, but none of them actually gave a reason why they didn't like it. If someone disagrees with what another poster is saying, that's fine; asking for the thread to be closed or removed seems a bit daft though. Isn't the point of this message board to stimulate football-related discussion and debate? I'm genuinely curious. If I know what I did "wrong", then perhaps I will alter my posting methods in future. Like **** I will
I just thought it was a massive overreaction to what was really a nothing story. Though it didn't bother me nearly enough to want it closed.
I've just seen that if Liverpool win the title, they have to pay Pompey £1m, due to a clause in Glen Johnson's contract.
isn't it amazing what Brendon Rogers has achieved at their club tho? he came from Swansea didn't he? I bet they are wishing that they held onto him.
There's absolutely no doubt that he's a good coach/manager and that he's finally managed to make the extra improvements necessary to make them genuine contenders, yes. Only a matter of time before he's touted for the England job.
