Our home league form going back to March 2012: LDLWDLDLLWWLLLLDDWLDDLDWLWWLDLLDWDLDDD. 8 wins in 38 home games

Which is about one win every 5 games, and to have any hope of staying up we need to win 3 of our next 4.

    Should be easy :1980_boogie_down:

Wow, I knew it was bad, but that' spretty shocking. Surely one of the worst of all leagues?

Still, it's not actually over yet. It doesn't look too clever right now, but you're not relegated until it's mathematically possible to get as many points as the team in 17th.

Behave now. Don't make me bump my post where I was telling you boys that Big Andy was going to tear you a new one. At least Gus Gus Poyääääät should have listened to me.

I've been gracious you know, nay, I'd even say I've been supportive; haven't posted a single word on yesterdays defeat. I don't kick a man when he's down.

Getting something from Evertons visit looks daring right now. They were good, absolutely destroyed us last week. And Gus is feeling the heat. That interview last night... no bueno. That's why I always prefer an older manager in a relegation scrap. But given the shape your team is in right now, relegation might be a good thing. Just hope the finances are in order.

You've been more gracious now we are all but down, than you were when there was just a good chance of us going down.

The worst stat is that last night was the first home goal we've scored against a side below 10th all season

That is nothing short of rank!

Tbf this has been coming ever since Bruce tore apart that decent team he put together.

Yeah, that's how I see it too. Bruce had a decent spine to the team set up at one point. It was never quite right but you were a decent side with a chance of improving. The string of managers that followed went through with one squad overhaul followed by the next. They all seemed to have some kind of plan but I for one never understood what any of them were trying to do.

What's being going on this season at SAFC, is a shambles... I've being paying close attention from a neutral(alright, somewhat hostile) viewpoint and called it long time ago. In the cold light of day you basically have 3 players you would like to see starting a premier league game, Johnson (now that he's settled), your keeper and Ki. And Ki isn't even your player. Then you have a few players worth having in a premier league squad. The rest... I don't even know what that is.

Make no mistake Newcastle is in the same position. We have maybe 6 players that I'd want to have starting a match for my team with a few others that are tolerable but preferably not starters, while the rest is just utter ****ing dross not fit to wear the shirt.

If you want to blame someone, I think you gotta look further than just the players or the managers. Our boards are utterly incompetent and incapable of coming up with plans that offer stability over a number of seasons.

Getting back to the point we do need a rethink on our home strategy, we looked good against a shaky Liverpool and we must persevere with that plan for the rest of the season away from home, but at home we must tweak the formation with an extra attacking dimension, but how I do not know, but the crowd need a lift and it is only the players that can do this.

Yep, Bruce had a good spine and since he failed to maintain it, no one else has got to that standard

Nobody has come with a clear vision, Poyet does though and hopefully this will be the start of something good. Even if it starts with us going down
