Carroll and Nolan both in the starting eleven as expected. The mackems have Wes Clown and John O'**** at the back alongside Vergini who looked decidedly dodgy against Liverpool.

My mate is coming around for the eight o'clock kick off (he's not on this forum but he knows about the Glow). I'm just getting the Chicken Tonight ready now :emoticon-0111-blush

P.S The caretaker at my daughter's school knows about the Glow. As do my mates. I've asked them all if they are glowing and they are!

Be honest now, has anyone else on here spread news of the Glow to others who are not on here?

News of the Glow is spreading.

Hopefully, the mackem goose will be well cooked by midway through the second half.

I can see Carroll getting his heed onto one or two crosses and sticking it right up the mackems (not actually sticking his heed up the mackems, though that would be some sight). Him scoring will go down well in the Stadium of ****e. And Nolan is bound to score. He always does against them.

Anyone got any quick predictions for tonight?

I reckon the mackems will have their goose cooked while we will be having Chicken Tonight followed by Ready Brek to add to the Glow.

Sunderland - and to a lesser extent West Ham - fans would have endured an uncomfortable weekend in front of the television, radio, and internet, seeing how their relegation rivals fared.

It proved a mixed set of results, although Crystal Palace's 1-0 win against Chelsea was the last thing Poyet's men wanted to see.

A draw between fellow strugglers West Brom and Cardiff did go in their favour, while bottom side Fulham lost at home to Everton to ensure Sunderland kept off the bottom.

Now it is time to see how their own teams do.....

    What do you think guys?

    Andy Carroll...!

I do actually want Sunderland to win this one - I'm firmly in the 'I enjoy the Derbies (except when we lose)' camp. Plus I'm not a huge fan of Fat Sam. But watching former Newcastle players take Sunderland apart is rarely a bad thing.

A typical Andy Carroll finish. The big striker rises above Sunderland's defence to powerfully head home just his second goal of the campaign from Mark Noble's corner. Surely the hosts had been warned about Carroll's aerial presence?

CLOSE! - Sunderland 0-1 West Ham

Sunderland should be level. Ki Sung-Yueng breaks into West Ham's area before squaring the ball to the unmarked Lee Cattermole 10 yards out on the right-hand side. Cattermole has just goalkeeper Adrian to beat but a weak shot is blocked and his rebound attempt goes wide. He has never scored for the Black Cats and you can see why.

CLOSE! - Sunderland 0-1 West Ham

West Ham are almost 2-0 up as Mark Noble's shot on the stretch goes just inches wide of the post from 20 yards.
