This, I wanted a holding mid so bad. I know Gerrard has turned into this role but not sure on Lucas and what his future holds, even though we do everything for Lucas.
I think that one's similar to the point about giving Sterling a chance. Would we be as effective going forward, and as a team, if we had someone like M'Vila instead of Gerrard in there? We can only speculate but it seems we were lucky that we missed out on Costa, Mkhitaryan, Willian etc. and were forced to work with what we had and do stuff like change Gerrard's position, play Henderson in a more attacking role, more game time for Sterling and being forced to play Flanagan
